The best thing about this bit is that you can tell Conan legitimately did not know about the tub. If you watch enough Conan you can see what his face looks like when something happens that he doesn't know about, or if something goes wrong. The great thing is he's always willing to roll with it. Awesome.

It's called acting. There is a signed consent by both parties before it happens so they cannot sue each other. Also, the skits go through a legal process to make sure it can be shown on TV. I'm guessing this aired on TV, so both parties knew what they were getting into.

Well, they had to prepare the bath for them long time before the show started so Im pretty sure it was staged. Or do you think that Ricky had a random idea and they managed to prepare a bath full of bubbles in 5 minutes? :D "Let's have a bath photo together... cool yes and we happen to have a bathtub here, also bubbles are ready, and the bathtub happens to be already here, cool, so many coincidences" :D C'mon man, there is a rehearsal process before every show, don't let hem fool you :D

He is very annoying (especially to Karl Pilkington) , but he is a very intelligent and smart man! He loves alot of Science and knows alot about it, and yet he is as mad as a Hatter. His cackle is manic, his bath pics are bonkers and he has the sense of humour of a baby. (Ricky did actually say that on the Commentary of Ghost Town..he said he finds simple things funny; basically he finds Clapperboards hilarious.) So, the man is a mix of things which make him very rare and a legend in his own way ;) So to be from where he is from, is quite an honour. No I'm not from Reading, but being a Brit is close and good enough for me XD
