This is so much more than a simple 'Magic Show'. It's a demonstration of sleight-of-hand to boggle the mind, and an incredibly rich telling of the history of a wonderful art form. Love it!

I don't know how many times I've watched this, and even when I'm pretty sure I know what he's doing, I can't actually make out the move...it's like when Penn and Teller do the cups and balls, then do them again with clear plastic cups and narrate; Teller is so quick that even with all the hints it's still hard to follow.

I've been doing close-up magic for over sixty years. Ricky Jay doesn't demonstrate how to "do" magic, he demonstrates how to "perform and present" magic. One of the most prolific card magicians ever. I wish I could have had to honor to see him in a live performance. He was a true master of his craft.

This is not just about is talent and work with cards. This is also the first close up magician who make a planed close up show, with a great structure, with good division of matters. Catching emotions, looking natural and confident. One of the best of all time.

I didn't realise he was a real magician until today; I first saw him on an episode of the X-Files called 'The Amazing Maleeni.' I watched a KZbin video in which the persons voice sounds like the character Albert Pinchbeck in the X-Files episode: it's one of my favourite episodes and prompted me to look up the actor playing Pinchbeck and I'm glad I did, this is such an entertaining video.

What a legend. Truly a master of the cards. He will live on as a legend for all of time. His character on Deadwood was perfect. I forget the guys name but he did the 'card in the sealed box' on Penn and Teller and fooled them with it. I KNEW that trick looked familiar.

21:00 the aces have braille on them. The reason why he says he is going to deal more cards than usual is that he needs to ensure the aces come up
@normanacree16352 жыл бұрын
I think it's all a trick.

I think the only way Ricky could control the aces so perfectly at 17:20 is that the aces are stripped (slightly wider or longer) which can be felt but not seen at those distances.
