Thanks for bringing Ricky on the show! I was born in 69. Ricky has always been my hero. I would like to thank him for the inspiration, the music, and just being a great human being.

Love it all... I'm almost 62 and pretty sure cruising and cranking those kick butt Blackfoot songs as a teen altered my brain waves for life...for the BETTER...whoop whoop!! :)

I don’t think I’ve seen or read an interview with Ricky before. I enjoyed this episode.

What a surprise. Saw Rickey with Blackfoot September 14th 1980 on the Tomcattin tour.

My late cousin won Blackfoot strikes at a school dance hosted by Ron Olson of fm 100,for a wrestling reference, ron was lobster boy on the Jerry Lawler show smoking cigarettes in the studio, and handsome Jimmy advertised them on his tights, long live Blackfoot, the Briscos, the Layfields, and the Medlocks

This reminds me again how much Rock music and wrestling have in common! Because rock musicians, just like wrestlers, once its in their blood---they don't want to quit doing it! They want to do it for life! Even if they do it part time---the bug never leaves them! And Ricky has got to be over 70---he must be the hardest working senior in the business! He doesn't want to slow down. He wants to keep creating new music, and if another band is off the road, he'll find another group of guys to do it with!

Even folks who aren't from Muscle Shoals never forgot it. Bob Seger, Joe Cocker, and others left their heart in Alabama, and it stayed with them their whole lives
