He spoke from the heart. Lynyrd Skynyrd was the most purely American band in history. Blue collar boys who showed no pretense, worked their butts off and blew everyone - including the Rolling Stones - off the stage. Why tragedy so befell them, only God knows the answer to that. But while we had them, we relished every note they ever played and every line they ever sung. 44 years later, we still do and I am sure that 1,044 years later folks out in the future will too. Thank you Kid Rock for giving them their due with your beautiful speech.

Lynyrd Skynyrd deserved so much more than Kid Rock doing their presentation to the R & R Hall of Fame. What were they thinking? Yann Wenner from Rolling Stone magazine is the head of the induction committee; therefore, he fucked-up again, just like disrespecting Led Zeppelin years ago in his magazine. All of us that grew up listening to Skynyrd in the 70's know the impact they had on Rock-N-Roll. I loved the Rolling Stone, and I like Kid Rock, but give the boys from Skynyrd their due respect.

His political beliefs have absolutely nothing to do with music, so why would you say 'I don't know my music.'?? Doesn't make sense. I don't mind the guy's music, but I sure as hell wouldn't buy it. Two things wrong with him: 1. Being a conservative Republican, which he sure as fuck is, ain't rock n' roll. He should have his rock n' roll credentials revoked. 2. Kid Rock is the stupidest fucking name anyone ever gave themself. Even he's admitted that! I'll give him credit for that, but that's it. If he went by his real name, I MIGHT have a little more respect for him, but doubtful. Big Skynyrd fan, and a big rock n' roll fan, in general, but Kid Rock gets no respect from me, or most people in the business, because he loves that Commie, Russian-loving, traitor President we got, who's got his ass so far up murderous dictator Vladamir Putin's ass, he could spit and give him an enema. For a so-called 'smart businessman', he sure got himself compromised by the Russians in a hurry, because not a single bank in the US would give the guy a loan because he reneged on every single loan he ever took out. He's been laundering money through offshore accounts and Russia for years! Ever wonder why he won't release his income taxes?? Obstruction of justice, collusion, and aiding and abetting a sworn foreign adversary to tamper with a US Presidential election are all Federal crimes!! Trump was a three-time Vietnam draft dodger, who claimed he had "bone spurs". My ass!! His Daddy got him that deferment. KR supports Trumpocalypse, and THAT'S why I have no respect for him, and I I ain't alone.

Just a couple things. I think the reason it took so long is basically johnny trying to cover. To a bunch of us it looked like a cheap way to make a play off the name. Also, Steve and allan were freaking monsters. I saw them in 73,76, and 77. After Steve joined they were a lot better, Even Ronny said,"in 2 years we'llall be in steve's shadow". As for the 3 guitar harmony, it was the allman brothers with duane allman, dickie betts, and elvin bishop. Watch the 1 min video that artie talks about steve. Excuse the typos.
