i appreciate your realistic critiquing of the niners play. We all see it, I"m glad you're saying it.

I Agree but many of those critical plays are left guard missing a Block or the Hot route ( especially against the Chiefs Vikings and Ravens) is covered. Brock has missed some of those but most is the personnel around him not executing. Also Brocks height and arm strength does limit him and defenses know this, our player need to execute better for Brock if they are the so called avengers. Pearsall, if he can get open quickly may alleviate this issue. Deboo needs space to affective, Aiyuk needs the play to develop a bit to be wide open, McCaffrey is usually the hot route but he is in the short flat and if a team tackle well he can be minimized. Jauan and Kittle are big body targets not the great rout runners. Ricky needs to be the similar to Devonte Smith and get open quick in man coverage and be a WR quick outlet for Brock that we do not have. The call us the Avenger when we the Niners are more like the Suicide squad.

So that john candy drive had s lot of three step slants in it ,to start momentum, Shanahan dont do that ,matter if fact its shanahan who gets away from the run at crucial moments and throws the ball 18 times in a row. Cant put that crap on Purdty pal. Purdy more than8 good enough to win a super bowl ,the ofgensive play calling and defensive breakdowns late in quarters is the true culprit.

I think Purdy needs Kyle's help in those situations, because that's the coach's job - I've said that multiple times. And also - the play was there to be made vs AZ and he didn't make it. I don't like being called pal but I do like your john candy drive breakdown lol

worrying if he's going to die? hahahhaa, he literally was discharged the next day from the hospital. Didn't even require surgery. Stop w/ the exaggerations.

this might be the stupidest comment ever made on the page - congrats. You're right - when he was laying on the pavement bleeding he definitely was thinking "i bet they'll open my practice window October 14th"

Hang on, leftymo: Guy is speaking truth here. I watched an interview with the woman, a police officer, who was first on the scene. Ricky, on the verge of passing out, asked her “Am I going to die?” She told him he’d be ok, and to be strong just like on the football field. They prayed together as she gave first aid to slow the bleeding and communicated to fellow officers hunting down the shooter. Just before the Jets kickoff, she and two others who helped that day were honored in a ceremony on the field by Ricky, 9ers brass, and all of us fans present at Levi’s. Very moving. Ricky was unbelievably blessed the bullet went straight through, missing bones and major organs. I also watched an interview with Lynch, who said Drs. told him this was RARE, that only 2% of those shot in the chest area actually survive.

@@theattitudeshop I've heard the story and don't buy it. But then again I'm a physician and did see patients die in the ER w/ stab wounds b/c the surgeon wasn't available. Maybe it missed a vital area, but Larry has already reported he doesn't even see a scar. At worst it's a pneumothorax with a GSW tot he chest and that means you aren't being released a day later from the hospital. The recovery isn't a miracle, its just that the bullet didn't hit anything substantive otherwise he'd be out for the year.

@@guyhaberman Well one of us has a medical doctorate, and the other guy is you.

@@guyhaberman Better yet Guy. If you are a journalist get to work. Find entry and exit wounds on said player. Then I can comment professionally on it. As a doc.
