@estherp48672 ай бұрын
Starks can do whatever he wants in his career, but his mic skills and in-ring talent were made for WWE. The dude stole the show when doing a promo with MJF, and had people rooting for him as the heel against babyface Brian Cage. He's got talent for miles.

It’s sad how long ago those moments with MJF and Brian Cage feel you’d think Ricky Starks would have ascended to being a big star in AEW by now. Instead, Tony puts a healthy Ricky Starks on the shelf and pushes these random workrate dorks who couldn’t talk their way out of a paper bag.

He is not interested in renewing his deal with AEW, and it's very well documented that Tony Khan will try to renew you like 10 months before your contract ends and if you don't sign, he will stop using you. 3:21 exactly, c'mon fans this isnt the Monday night wars ,and fans should know that these people are playing CHARACTERS on Tv . And friends should f'ing go and support each other
@CornBreadtm12 ай бұрын
Monday Night wars started because guys went from one program to another. So it's not like people were up and arms about seeing WWF guys on WCW. No they turned in to see that. Hogan, Nash, Hall, Hart, etc. Then the Eddie, Chris and the boys went to WWE. It was a war because guys were preforming better on the other program. Stunning Steve Austin going to WWF and becoming Stone Cold Steve Austin, the biggest face in wrestling, wasn't because of his build on WCW. No reason for tribalism with AEW, they haven't gotten anyone over. Cody and CM Punk are the faces of WWE and people forget that they were on AEW doing nothing by comparison to how many views they are getting today. And the same thing will apply when Ricky gets out of his AEW contract and goes to WWE. Pretty sure HHH already has a chair with his name on it somewhere.
@knightshousegames2 ай бұрын
I mean, Britt Baker was like, seen on TV when she was outside the ring during one of Adam Cole's matches in NXT. Little Brodie was at Wrestlemania 39 and nobody cared. I doubt this is a big deal to anybody. People don't realize just how tight knit the wrestling business is. Everybody texts everybody, you would be amazed who has who's number. Especially nowadays, since practically every main eventer in modern wrestling started in the indies, and they all probably worked together in either ROH or PWG or CZW at one point or another. Think about it like this. If you work at a McDonalds, and your friend works at Wendys, are you not allowed to talk to your friend?

There have been a handful of signed WWE superstars at AEW and other indie promotions to just support their friend. They weren't on live TV. If they were, then that's a whole different issue. Bayley and Shinsuke Nakamura have been to AEW to support a friend. Seth Rollins was at a GCW event supporting Jon Moxley a couple of years ago. A lot of the major pro wrestlers are friends with other wrestlers, regardless of what company they're in.

There's something off about Starks. I don't just mean in this interview, he seems to have pissed off a few people in AEW. Maybe because the way he talks makes people uncomfortable, CVV certainly doesn't look comfortable in this conversation. Jericho and Copeland had spats with him, and if those guys are calling you out you must have said something. You're never gonna hear him say why because it only damages his chances of getting signed by WWE. The smokescreen is that it's because he was pictured at WWE shows, and he's happy to let people assume that's the reason because it's unreasonable. It's more likely that he's rejected creative or booking a few too many times and been branded "difficult to work with", like Miro, or Andrade. Wrestling is a weird business, and we'd all like to assume that everything wrestlers say is the truth because it's on a podcast or on social media rather than on a wrestling show, but it's a weird, political, backstabbing business that attracts and rewards a lot of good actors with shitty morals.

People don’t understand they have great friends on both sides of the company. For example Kevin Owens, aj styles and Cody Rhodes are all friends with the bucks. Xavier woods and Kenny omega are great friends. You support your friends however a good way to explain the relationship is if you both are going head to head in a game of mortal combat, or such you both will try your absolute best and try to make it as competitive as possible right? Well that’s exactly what both companies are doing. They are both competing with each other and trying to both put on the best product possible. Think about this, would wwe have partnered up with TNA if aew didn’t team up with njpw first? Probably not, you see it’s things like that.
