I shall be listening to your lessons tonight in work after I convert them to mp3 , top tip everyone . I've learnt more off you in these last few months than I have in 20 years of " twiddlin "

Ricky, I too wish I had a teacher like you when I was learning as a college kid. Nevertheless, I've picked up the guitar again, and thanks to you and other great teachers, I'm getting better quickly.

I'm bamboozled. Dude my heads gonna explode as a noob. I want to learn but maybe play the chords/notes to associate with your method or explanation through the videos. I'm struggling to understand and really wanna learn guitar. Mucho thanks Ricky 🤘

Dude! This may be a step too soon. As a beginner the first thing you need control of is your hands. You do this by learning songs. Theory like this can wait until you have a degree of control. My videos will always be here when you're ready. Don't overthink it and feel compelled to do the difficult stuff. Keep plugging away at songs you love and you'll get there! Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Thank you Ricky. I started playing about 18 months ago. I recently came across one of Ricky's videos and what a light bulb moment. He is a fantastic teacher with a pleasant manner. He will certainly make the journey much easier going forward.

It's so easy because it follows the lines and spaces on the staff which I learned in in grade school so I can never forget that!it's all connected as you have said.

I really love your videos. But i was wondering one thing that is views to this video is very less when compared to the number of subscribers. But i am sure that this video is really really worthy. Those who haven't watched this had lost a big big treasure in music theory.

I think my 700k views video is the one that gets the subs but if folks stick around and watch my other videos they realise there's some good stuff on my channel. Regardless, I love putting these videos out to help folks get to grips with guitar. It's my mission!

Ricky Comiskey Id agree you are a wealth of knowledge. I tried to remember the triads by heart. But it will only give me the triads . This method gives you the 7th , 9th , 11th etc. EGBDFAC. Great lesson as usual. You lost me on another video. My fault not yours. I’m not ready for it yet!. If you are interested I have figure out how to know what note you are playing with the caged bar chords. I think you have already figured this out. I just haven’t figured it out for the c shaped bar chords. Basically the note you are play using each bar chord shape is shown on the open string of the bar chord. E bar chords on the low E string. A bar chords on the A open string. D bar chords on the open D and open G for G shaped chords. I haven’t figured out where the notes lye for C shaped bar chords. It must be there somewhere.🤔

OK, I'm following this somewhat, but how come when you play an open chord D, there's an F#? ....and it's not just D, F, & A's? (deserves fans and).... Or, when you play an open chord A, it's not just A, C, & E, but you get a C# (and cash every)? [OH, I think I just "fingered" it out. ha, ha. It's 'cuz they're supposed to be Dm and Am...with flat thirds...Yes?]
