Trains at Newcastle - 21/07/2020

Filmed on 21/07/2020. For the first trainspotting session since the lockdown in March is the return to the East Coast Mainline gateway to Yorkshire. Cumbria, Teesside & Scotland, Newcastle Central (Season 7 Episdode 11)
Covid19 Update: It is now safe to film at railway stations even the main big stations as long as any trainspotter informs the staff they are on the platform then there should be no problems at all. Also remember to wear a face covering.
Trains were running out Newcastle running North to Edinburgh or joining the Durham Coast Line was speed restricted to 10MPH. Due to essental engineering works. Also why some trains were giving tones was because of Network Rail engineers on the tracks.
Few surprises at Newcastle includes Grand Central Trains on driver training/refresher between Heaton and London Kings Cross which is rare for class 180 Adelante's to be running via Newcastle. Freightliner convy came through with class 66's in action. Even LNER hired class 67 no. 67007 was seen on driver training duties via Durham Coast Line as on some occasions, diverts would have been taking place.
During a stint at Newcastle Central, this is the variety that was seen.

I can't wear a face mask as I have what's known as a 'Hidden Disability' I bought a Hidden Disability badge which prevents from wearing face covering. hiddendisabilitiesstore.com/what-is-a-hidden-disability Had no problems with the badge on but kept my distance, washed hands on a regular bases and drank plenty of filtered water. All will be explained during Ricster Diaries Episode 43.
