Hi, Ricky! So, I’m a professional witch (yes, really) so while I’m not exactly a paranormal investigator, I def do spooky shit for a living 😂 so here’s my notes (if you want lol). All of this very well could be practical - could be your imagination, the black figure in your room could have been sleep paralysis (and that shit is SCARY), there’s totally practical explanations…But it’s fun to think of the spooky possibilities! As far as the chest goes, haunted objects definitely do exist. However it’s likely not actually linked to VooDoo; to my knowledge, VooDoo is practiced by initiation only, and apart from selling voodoo dolls like the one you have, practitioners of voodoo tend to keep their practice to themselves and their group. The doll would definitely not have anything malevolent attached to it if you got it from a voodoo shop in New Orleans. The little raven/crow figurine you have looks like obsidian, and I couldn’t tell what the little green charm tied to it was, but that was definitely meant to be protective! It’s also worth noting that you travel a lot, and visit a lot of haunted venues, and very well could have brought something (or someone) home with you…but IF that is the case, not all ghosts are bad! Sometimes they just like to hang out. I experience a lot of the noises you mentioned hearing - but of course, I’m intentionally inviting spirits in, haha! I loved listening to this story, and I hope you’ll tell more! 😊

Tiny story for you: my mom asked me to go grab clothes from downstairs in the dryer for her, but i never went down to get them (and didnt plan on it lol). She later yelled to me “thanks for grabbing that!”. I thought that was sarcasm because i didnt. I told her sorry i never got it and she said that i physically walked in, handed her the clothes, gave her a blank look and walked away. Wasnt me!! Never left my room. Totally freaked me out.

I know I’m late to this (I loved this video btw, and I love this channel) but when I lived with my parents, there was a night were it was thunder storming, and I was taking a shower (stupid I know) and the power cut out. I’m spooked asf, and when the power came back on, I saw a shadowy figure walk towards the bathroom door on the outside of the shower curtain. It was really creepy. There was also a time where I was upstairs in my room getting ready for a firefighter funeral, and I’m listening to music (I think it was BVB or TAA) and all of a sudden I felt like something was watching me, but there was no windows behind me, they’re to my right. The only thing behind me is a stained wall of drawers and closets. And when I whip around and throw my hairbrush at the wall (because it’s what I had in my hand and i was scared) the feeling of being watched vanished instantly. I don’t know if the history of the house has something to do with it. It’s the oldest house in the little village that my parents live in, first house built, it’s over 100 years old (definitely a fixer upper) and the owners previous to my family was a man and a woman. The man 😵 by his own hand (supposedly), and when the investigation was being done, it was found that the…rope that was attached to the man’s neck was tied to something behind him as opposed to above him, so everyone thought it was foul play. The woman 😵 from a heart attack, inside the house, and a ball cap that the man used to own is upstairs in my old room, in the top drawer of the set of drawers that is in between the two closets.😬

I want more spooky stories! 🖤 I think that some people are more open to paranormal, so they experience that kind of things. By being open I mean being aware and believe in paranormal or being in a low-vibrating mode, so something can attach to them. It seems that you are in the first group just like me. I can say that I've been through weird situations which I can't explain. So I will tell you some examples, Ricky, because you've asked for it 😁 Once, I was in a death camp. I live in Poland and here we have some of that kind of places after Second world war. So I was in Lublin im Majdanek. While I was visiting one of the enormous barracks, I heard a woman singing somewhere in the distance. It was so freaking scary, because nobody else spotted anything. There wasn't many people around, because it was a rainy, cold September day. This camp is huge and I think that only somebody who is insane would sing a song in the place, where thousands of people died. Till this day , I think that it was someone, a woman, who died in Majdanek and her soul stuck in there. She could be even unaware of the fact that she is dead, like she somehow glitched. I can share another story about my grandma, who died two years ago. I remember it was a covid time, so we decided not to visit her and her home (she lived far away from us) during All saints day, because she was old and my mum didn't want to spread any viruses on her. And she was in a good health, but you know, my mum wanted to be cautious. I was mad at her, because I wanted to see grandma. I told my mother that maybe this would be the last time to see her and this could be the last time to say goodbye to her. And you know what? Grandma died a month later. I couldn't be at her funeral, because I was so sick that day (not a covid) and I was unable to even get out of the bed. I began to feel remorse that I couldn't be at the ceremony. Also I felt bad that I said something which happened to become a some kind of a death prophecy. After couple of months I woke up at night. It was so dark around, but I saw my grandma. She was standing next to the window looking through it and when she realized I was seeing her, she turned her head and looked at me. Then she vanished. She was in some kind of light, so I was able to see her in the dark. I can tell you more weird, spooky stories. When you experience something like that once, it comes back. And if it comes to the objects you mentioned, I suggest you to burn them if you think they're cursed or haunted. Fire purifies everything, cleans the space. Also I suggest you to consecrate your house. I don't think you are a religious person, me neither, but this could help. Especially if that something in your house would start to be more evil. At the end it's all about the faith. I mean, there are all kinds of religions, but they have one thing in common, they are all true, because people believe in them. Without the human faith, they wouldn't exist. They have some sort of power driven by human energy. So it doesn't matter, if you will ask a priest or a pastor or a rabbi to come to your household. It all will work. And the things in the other side will bent over such a huge power coming from many of people.

I have stories from the house I grew up in which was the site of an old gaol (jail) the ruins of which were essentially buried under our back yard. It was even a stop of the local ghost tours that happened when I lived there. These all happened around 2000-2005ish. The first one was that my parents had this super old antique 50s style radio, which I honestly wasn't even sure worked. They had it on the kitchen table, it was midday and my parents were out in our backyard with friends over and I was inside playing games on the family computer. And I heard the radio turn on and off, it started playing like garbled radio noises for maybe 5 seconds and then turned off. So I went to the kitchen to check straight away and... No one was there. I even went out and asked my parents, I definitely didn't hear anyone come in or leave the through the back door which was a loud squeaky screen door. So I genuinely think it just turned itself on and off again... Or it was a ghost, who knows but I was thoroughly freaked out. So I went back inside and had a look at it, it wasn't even plugged into the power point... Second, when I was very young and had an old antique wardrobe in my room I'd frequently come out crying or scared to my mum about the wardrobe doors moving or their own or something being in it and seeing THE HAT MAN when I was like 6yo, I didn't even learn what the hat man was until like 2yrs ago. This stopped when they replaced the wardrobe with a brand new one. The third was my mum was home alone and she woke up in the middle of the night swearing she could hear a whole party's worth of people out the back, she thought that dad had brought home a bunch of people for a party, so she went to go outside to check and as soon as she left the house and walked outside, the noise stopped, no one was there. The fourth is when my grandma visited us at this house, I was inside playing in my room alone when she arrived and came out about half an hour later or something, but when she arrived and greeted my parents she asked "who's Amy's friend that's over?" And they said "she doesn't have a friend over" and she said "then who was the little girl I saw standing in behind the front screen door with black hair and a dress on?" ... She swears up and down that she saw a little girl staring at her through the front door but I was in my room, didn't have black hair, and didn't have any friends over... Living in a haunted house is fun.

I gotta mention that if you allow yourself to feel a presents or particular energy, already that’s inviting and opens that door to having the ability to attract energy without a physical vessel. as of lately, I’ve been attracting paranormal energy myself at work. With no intentions of attracting spirits, or the paranormal. i’m thinking of doing my own story time about this experience because it happened this week. i’ve become very spiritual, and it’s allowed me to feel a presence that I’ve never felt before. I wouldn’t be nervous, but it’s some thing that you’re probably going to experience moving forward.

In 2007, my grandpa died. At the time I was 7, so I didn’t really grasp death, ya know. The day after he died, I was with my grandma at her house. She is the best grandma ever. She had turned her basement into an art studio/play area for me and the other grandkids. Grandma and I were in the basement doing cute crafty things and then the power went out. So she told me she was going to run back upstairs to get some flashlights and what not. So I stayed in the basement. In the dark. As I sat there, terrified already, I saw my late grandpa walk down the steps and stop at the bottom to look at me. I screamed from the top of my lungs and hid under the table I was sitting at. Then he disappeared into dust it seemed. I haven’t experienced anything like that since then. 👻

You want a story I got a good one for ya! So when I worked as a CNA I worked at a assisted living for the elderly. This place was hands down nuts! Super haunted. My boss was a workaholic and one night (I always worked the pm shift) she stayed to catch up on administrative work in her office. So it was just us 3 CNA’s and her and of course all of our residents. She came by us at the nursing station started to talk with us CNA’s. Most of the residents had already been put to bed. She all of a sudden turns around and says “something doesn’t feel right”. She tells me come walk with me down the hallway. As we walk together down the hallway the wall lights start to flicker. Didn’t think much of it we kept walking. All of a sudden we approach a really cold spot. We stop and both look at each other and knew something was really off. All of a sudden she feels light headed. I basically ended up catching my boss in my arms and mind you I’m short 5’2 and my boss is 5’9, so I holler for my co-workers for help. They rush to help me and they grab a chair from a residents bedroom to have her sit. She starts talking to us and says I’m fine but there’s this man screaming at me. (She has psychic abilities) and I said to her what is he yelling about? She goes on to say that he keeps yelling that this is his farming land and his cranberries grew here long ago. She proceeds to keep getting yelled at by this spirit and the flights continued to flicker. She got her strength up and we all decided we all need some fresh air. We step outside for a smoke break. While we were outside she says out loud , “who are you?” And she gets his name. So as the amazing boss and investigative nature she has she looks up his name. Now this is the crazy part. Not only does she find old articles online about the origins of the property , she finds out it was a cranberry farm and finds the man’s obituary. Sure enough he was telling the truth. We were all creeped out. Mind you she worked there long before me, 11 years at that point, me only 4 years. We wondered why now, why so long did he take to communicate? Strange things always happens there, I mean it’s a place where many pass away. But I’ve always seen things there, felt cold spots, doors opening/ closing on their own, residents would see and hear things too! I’ll never forget this little grandma screaming from her room for me like crazy help me help me there’s a man in my room ! Only to find her poor thing frantic almost crawling out of her bed (half side paralyzed due to a stroke ) terrified she was! She claimed a man was standing over her bed while she slept waking up to seeing this man. We checked her entire room of course. No one was there. Took me a hour to calm her and reassure her. What she didn’t know and I didn’t tell her was that the last resident whom did pass away in that room was a man whom lived in that suite for 9 years before her. Crazy times! I’ve experienced something similar to the shadow person at the end of the bed. One night I woke up and there was a shadow person that I perceived as a woman - I couldn’t see facial features, but she had long hair- standing next to my side of the bed. It startled me so badly that I went to swing my fist at it/her but my arm felt like it was pinned down. The entity started repeating “yes”, not necessarily in a threatening way, but as more of a taunt. After about 15-20 seconds, she moved away from my bed, and in a gliding motion went back out through the door. Easily the most scared I’ve ever been in my life. Doors have opened and slammed shut on their own before, plus other weird, unexplainable things that I could probably spend hours talking about if you ever need a guest!

Dear Ricky! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I totally want more stories from you, please. For me it's like honey in my ears, like some kind of spooky ASMR... just perfect! I've had some spooky experience in my life too, but I think the most scary thing happened with me in something about 2009 maybe. It was late at night in October. Me and my friend walked into the underground pass just in the center of my city (which is actually super crowded 24/7)... and when we came out of it - it was no one on the street. No people, no cars. Just street lights chirping and really thick october fog. And it was really scary because it was silent (it can be scary when you don't remember silence living in a very big overpopulated city). And suddenly we heard music. Slightly out of tone Ennio Morricone, like it was playing in a distance, but the sound was... moving around us in circles. And we couldn't move or talk. The feeling lasted just for a moment, but I still can't get rid of it. And I love it somehow, like touching something new and exciting, which can eat you alive. So - I really LOVE to hear your story. it makes me feel this tingles again. Thank you! ♥

when i was younger i saw something standing over my bed and it freaked me out so bad. like at first it was standing in my door and then i got scared and closed my eyes but then i opened them and it was at the foot of my bed just watching me and i screamed so loud but my mom never heard me and she was in the room right next to me but my brother did from across the house and we switched rooms but i’ll never forget that🫡

I would put a circle of salt around that spot the spirit was acting like there were “stairs” cause that’s a sign it’s a doorway/portal. Also leave the salt there for at least three days 🖤 love ya Rick

Bro so much of the same shit has been happening in my house for the past year. my friends and roommates have all seen a weird dark figure on occasion. I’ve never seen it myself, but one night I felt something lay next to me in my bed. This among footsteps, temperature changes and load knocking, even laughing at one point. At the end of the day I f*cking love this stuff, but it’s important to be careful when you have something in your house. The more you talk about it and give it recognition, the more it will play around.

Pretty much everywhere I've lived there has been something. I sort of grew up with it. Sometimes we spook ourselves out. Always go with your instincts. But it's rare to have bad things haunting. Mostly these things are passing through. Having said that we lived on Abbey land when I was younger. Hearing children giggling was terrifying because we all knew they weren't children.

Intention is the master of creation. Sometimes our minds can create these kinds of things and so we search for occurrences, and then attribute it to that which we are looking for. Sometimes, if we intend to blame the unknown, we create it. However, sometimes we can bring things in with used items. I also heard the tapping and knocking you were talking about. It was a bit faint, but there. I've had the sleep paralysis type of stuff, usually the more ill-intentioned spirits who may not want you around - they don't want to hurt you, just spook you. It's kind of an energy thing, if you give them attention, you give them energy.

In the two instances where I believe I had a supernatural experience, the atmosphere of the rooms was distorted. The air was heavy, sound was diffused, the light was dark and it seemed like I was viewing everything through a light fog. These were both rooms that I had been in hundreds of times, so the one time they were different was startling in contrast.

Ah, ghost stories...I actually have a bit of it in my record, as I've lived in a haunted house for about 10 years (and it was a new one, not some old mansion like AHS 1 or other ghost stories!). This house was very uncomfortable, apart from a few places like my bedroom or the bathroom which were okay. Here's what I got! - My brother (5/6 at that time) couldn't sleep at all in his room. He kept seeing floating faces. We thought it was because his wallpaper had characters on it, but when we changed the tapestry, he still could see those faces. Nowadays (he's 19), he still remembers what he experienced and still freaks out about it. - We couldn't navigate in the house at night without a light. I don't mean a small light, but more like the corridor had to be bright before we turn off the light of the room we just left, and the next room had to be lit in order for us to switch off the corridor's light. Alone, it was really common to feel scared. I thought it was just me as a child/teen, but everyone in the family did this, and even the guests had to. It was also common to see a shadow figure in the corridor, so everyone usually kept their doors closed (not common in this family tbh). - The basement was creepy af. It was always messy, no matter how much we tried to tidy it up. There was a room downstairs where we played music (we're all musicians) and to get to that room you had to cross the rest of the basement. Not only did we do the light stuff, but we also always ran towards that room. - My mom is certain that my step brother did some pretty nasty black magic in that particular room, as he would sleep there when he'd come, and he hated us all. Just above that room, there's the living room with a TV on the corner. One time, my mom was alone at home and heard children SCREAMING behind the TV. It was off, and she even unplugged everything, but they were still screaming until eventually it stopped. - I had a very vivid dream about gigantic white spiders in the basement and the music room. They tried to get us all, but another gigantic black spider protected us and they eventually came back where they were from; the music room. - One time, we were planning on a jam session together but we kept hearing cricket noises. We never could find it, but the noise came from my step brother's mattress. It wouldn't stop, eventually got louder and louder but we NEVER could find the source. Needless to say, it wasn't even the right season to have crickets around. - My mom, who's a bit superstitious, asked a magnetizer to come and 'purge' the house. He was a friend of the family so he didn't ask for money at all. I've never seen him THAT sick, and that night, the electricity went off 7 times. No tripped fuses, nothing we could do to get it on and off, it just did it by itself, only in our house. - One day, my stepbrother came back but couldn't go past the entrance. He looked fine outside but suddenly turned white and sick when he came in. Later on, we learned that my grandmother basically put holy water EVERYWHERE in the living room (where the entrance is). Guess he really did something nasty. - My mom used to put Seals of Solomon everywhere when it became unbearable. For those who don't know, it's a symbol you can print and place wherever you want, as a small protection. When the seal is turned towards the ground, a bad spirit has manifested himself. The Seals in the music room and the basement were often turned. After the magnetizer's work, only the Seal on the mattress kept being turned again and again. Needless to say, I didn't believe any of this sh*t when I was there, but I also had absolutely 0 explanation about it whatsoever. Now that I recall these memories, I think I was sceptical as a protection, because how could you live in such weird and scary house? Now I live in my recently deceased grandparents house, and apart from some weird dreams, shadow figures here and there and that feeling that we're not alone, it's pretty cosy. I think I lowered my standards.

Hey Ricky, if you do start to feel uncomfortable with the energy you're feeling smudge every room with sage, from top to bottom and out towards your front door. Some people are more suspitable to feeling energies especially if you aren't thinking about anything and relaxed. The minute you feel threatened or the energy makes you feel uneasy you definetly should smudge. If you are having nightmares etc. smudge yourself aswell. I loved listening to this. I've had so many different paranormal experiences.

This is Australia, but the hotel that I used to work at before it was a hotel it was a private estate. When the family that the hotel is named after lived there, there was a fire in the nursery and the nanny and the children all died in this fire, the parents were away and weren’t there. But since it’s been rebuilt you can stay in rooms where the nursery used to be. It recently had renovations done and the builders had seen small children playing up there. They freaked out because it’s a building site you shouldn’t be here playing and that was it they didn’t think anything else of it, until a few days later they saw a women in the same room cleaning dressed as an old maid and freaked out again. And this one builder refused to go back in the room so the others all finished it and they had zero in counters. Another incounter that happened was one of the Resturant mangers was staying over night and they were staying in the room that I’m talking about above , and below the accomodation rooms is the great hall sitting area and there is this huge grand piano there, but in the morning when the restaurant manger come down they went to ask the receptionist that was there all night why did they let someone play piano all night because it’s they could hear and couldn’t get to sleep. The receptionist just said no one was playing the piano I didn’t anything.... and I lastly I’m dead serious when you walk up the stairs from the great hall to get to the accommodation you feel someone following you and like you’re going to pushed down the stairs lol .....sorry for the long comment, hope your having a good time on shiprocked!!

At the risk of sounding absolutely insane...I've been dealing with spirits since I was quite young. The knocking, the popping, the sounds of someone walking through the house...and whispers. I also occasionally see (I've dubbed the one I see the most "Shadow Man") and feel them (I've had a finger stroke across my shoulder when I'm alone in the house). At first it was terrifying...but here I am ages later and it no longer phases me. I've never been harmed. And so long as you don't feel weird (anxious, nervous...in general bad vibes) then you're going to be just fine. But please, keep us updated of your experiences. I then told my mom about it later and she got really quiet and went white as a sheet. She said she used to have the exact dream as a teenager. She had forgotten all about it until I told her my dream. Creepy stuff.

In 2002 I got snowed in at my grandfather's house. We had a breezeway between the garage and house that was locked down. About 1 in the afternoon we started to hear some knocking on the inside door. Went to look nothing. No prints no tire marks. As we closed the door something knocked on the very front door that wasn't used. Same thing no prints. This went on back and forth for about an hour. Then we heard and followed footsteps throughout the house on the roof. Never heard or saw anything again. A year later the house burnt down. The burn pattern was directly down the center of the roof exactly where we heard those footsteps.

Lately when I'm on my laptop in my room either listening to music or watching KZbin or Netflix, I swear I hear someone talking to me, like my mom saying my name I'll look but no one will be there, also the floor between my room the bathroom and my parents room creaks a lot, I think the spirit of my dog hangs out still, and a lot of times I'll be playing COD and I swear I'll look behind me and I swear a shadow figures lurking in my parents doorway, I've lived in this house for over 30 years, I've never felt threatened but I have become hyper aware lately of sounds, I'm sure it's some type of low grade tenitius from listening to super loud music, I used to stare at a corner in the living room but my mom always said it was my guardian angel, so like you I've never experienced any melovence or anything weird, but I do hear what sounds like my name, someone pacing between rooms, creaking of the floor, I never used to notice these things until the last like 3 years or so, I would smudge with sage if you ever feel uncomfortable

Damn, that instance with Chris is definitely strange. I never had anything like that happening to me, but to be fair, I don't live in a house, I live in a city apartment. So all noises I hear, I assume to be my neighbours I'd say the scariest thing that happened to me was actually the police trying to get in without knocking. My dad and I were sitting in the kitchen eating Lunch - suddenly we both hear the front door handle being pressed down - just once. We both freeze and listen. Since the door was locked they eventually knocked, finally. Turns out they were searching for a dude who was supposedly hiding in our neighbourhood (Our front door isn't a very obvious front door, so they didn't realise). Still... That moment was terrifying af.

Sometimes when I tell about these kinds of experiences, I get the feeling that people don't believe me. I have suffered from sleep paralysis very constantly, the strange thing is that the things I see inside it are related to my physical health, I wake up sore and scratched. Things have also happened to me while I'm awake, once I was about to sleep and I felt like someone put their fist between the covers and was pushing me, it was very strange but people told me that I was probably dreaming, but at that moment I was wide awake. Also in my house there are a lot of noises, especially in the kitchen. It's usually when visitors come and it's so normal now that we don't pay much attention to it, but some people ask us "is there anyone in the kitchen?" and we just answer "no, there are always noises" as if it weren't a big deal. I have many stories like this, probably some stronger ones and sometimes I think the same about how interesting all this is, but when things happen I just want it to end.

A few years ago a few friends and I stayed at a house in the Pocono mountains for a week. I remember one night we all hung out drinking and talking out back. Around 2am we all decided to go to bed, my room was the sole room in the basement and the rest of the guys were on the second floor. I was laying down and had my face buried in a pillow and I felt someone rub my hair (kinda like dad's do to their kids in movies) and say "goodnight bud", and I just responded in kind, but i never heard them go back upstairs. The next morning when we all got up I was asking who came down after we split up for the night and they all went straight to their rooms on the second floor. That same night around the same time my buddies sister was woken up to her lamp spontaneously falling off of the night stand. I've never had any other experiences but it was for sure a weird night, and I still don't know what to think of it.

This is similar to those situations with seeing things, for me, the cause of it were horror movies or any stuff like that, videos, places or anything I’ve ever seen, they randomly popped up in my head at night and the only way to escape that thought, was at first only to invite my friends to come over and stay saying it should be a sleepover when it was actually because i couldn’t be alone at nights that time without these thoughts or the things i imagine to see. Those things were creatures, shadows and other things i can’t even explain because it’s just, it doesn’t exist, it’s just terrifying when I see it or think about it so intensely i didn’t even mean to. The other nights my first thoughts were things like holidays at places I always wanted to be or thinking about one of my favorite days and then randomly i started to think the exact opposite and it was scaring me but I know where the thoughts came from some nights, it were my fears I never spoke of or ever mentioned because i thought it was ridiculous to others if I told them my fears were impossible things or things that never happened and probably won’t happen better i don’t mention these things. That was one of my personal experiences I don’t know maybe it could be an example for yours too? Like the thoughts, fears or just something you’ve heard of or seen already. Could be anything but off what you’re telling, i think it may be something like someone being there out of sudden, a stranger or something haunting you or whatever it is I’m just assuming things. You gotta find that out I really hope my weird stories had something in them which may be helpful for you to find out the reason for all of that. If you see this in the evening or at night, this time, I hope you sleep better this time without any weird noises, just falling asleep by reading stuff would be great but without any nightmares. I may have a scary experience w/ the paranormal stuff . This was about 2 weeks ago. So, I had just bought my first house last year, nothing really happened that I would consider to be scary up until i got a new electric mixer from my grandma that she no longer uses. I was using it to make bread, all by hand and I started to feel like something was in my kitchen. Whatever this thing was, it definitely didn't have any good intentions. as soon as i was done putting the bread in the oven to bake, I started to clean up what i had used. As soon as the water from the faucet hit the bowl that i used that came with the mixer, I felt something yank me back and i felt a hand grip my neck, pretty hard, against the wall. It let me go after a few seconds. I'm alright for the most part, just a little shaken up by it.

i have so many creepy stories to share from houses i lived in growing up but by far, the weirdest/scariest experience i had was the house i lived in from the time i was 13--17. to preface this, i didn't start having these issues until i moved my bedroom to our mostly finished basement when i was about 16. and my sister/step sister both had their rooms down there prior to this and i never heard about them having any issues with this. but anyways, this house was built in the 70s so really not even that old of a house necessarily? certainly not the oldest house i lived in. but the vibe there was always just slightly off and i have no other way to describe it. i moved my room down to this basement and at first, everything was normal/had no issues other than it was just insanely cold which was expected because it's a basement and i live in the midwest and i'm pretty sure it was winter time when i did move down there. after probably a few weeks to a month down there, i had my first sleep paralysis episode ever. i remember most of these encounters/episodes pretty vividly and the first one was comparatively mild but it was textbook stuff like not being able to move, auditory/visual hallucinations (they were really subtle in my first episode so much so that i didn't realize it was happening until i couldn't move), and it was always paired with this crushing/suffocating feeling in my chest. every episode progressively got worse and more intense and harder to snap out of. but, after a while of this, i got my very own sleep paralysis demon that really didn't have much to it other than just a pitch black shadow and whited out eyes - that's the best way i can describe it. so, i dealt with this for a few months and noped my way out, moved my room back upstairs, and hoped it would stop (which it didn't, it just continued up there). and it led me to severe insomnia and other issues mentally/physically. i moved out at 17 and the day i moved out, in the new place i lived in, i had one last episode of it but the only difference was that instead of this episode in my "dream" taking place in the room i fell asleep in, it took place back in the basement of that house and was just... wildly unhinged, terrifying, and i can't go into detail really. but that was the last episode i ever had of sleep paralysis. i'm 25 now and just going back to thinking about that house makes my skin crawl. i don't know if it was something paranormal or not. and for personal circumstances, it wasn't something i could get help with. i scoured the internet for a while trying to find anything to help it so i tried all of the tricks with controlling the temperature, not falling asleep on my back, you name it. i don't know what it was or what caused it and i don't know if i want to.

I’ve had a couple but one that stood out was when I was about 5 years old my great grandmother had passed away and we were pretty close. About a week after her passing, my parents had heard me talking in my room and went to go see who I was talking to. They walked in and I was sitting, facing the corner of the bedroom walls talking. They asked me who I was talking to and I replied me ma. Freaked them out and I did it for awhile until I got older. Kids and dogs can always see things that you can’t so that’s probably why the dogs were freaking out about the box.

Its 100% Sally. I'll try an keep my experiences as short as possible. Almost every night for the past like 4-5 years I've woken up to a tall, dark, human shaped, shadow at the end of my bed. Recently it's been moving up near my head, sometimes I can see it reaching out and touching my thigh or my hip. I can even feel it. I kept telling myself its sleep paralysis, but I'm not so sure anymore. I wake up with bruises and cuts. And I now see writing in the mirror fog, and on my shower door. I always feel like I'm being watched, and hear so many noises. There are certain rooms in my house I feel unsafe, or unnerved to be in. I've had nightmares of shadow people in my house and I wake up in a cold sweat screaming. I've seen things walking around my house during the day, just dark shadows. I hear knocking on the other side of my basement door. My cats are intrigued by my basement, and they like to just watch random places in my house. They are my ghost hunters haha. I was told the previous owner died here, but I've lived here for about 17 years, but as stated, this stuff is recent. I have so many stories regarding this whole circumstance, if you or anyone else is interested in hearing! But anyways, I definitely understand your situation lol. I had an experience yesterday. I woke up about 230am ish to what sounded like someone typing on a phone with the keypad tones on, only to see that my phone was open to the lock screen. You have to touch my phone or hit the lock button to pull up that screen when it's on the charger. I sleep alone. Just before waking up to that sound I was dreaming about a cat stalking me and transforming into a guy that I knew.

Man sleep paralysis is no joke. I've had it a couple times and it's been the most terrifying thing I've ever gone through. The first time, which I'm hoping was only sleep paralysis, to be honest I'm not even quite sure, it felt like this evil demonic spirit, or entity, or whatever you wanna call it, was trying to possess me entering through the top of my neck. Well kinda at the base of my head. I could hear AND feel it above my neck, trying to get in. It was the strangest sensation, and the most terrifying thing. I could literally hear the demonic screeches and whispers all at the same time as it was trying to possess me. I never saw anything, but I felt all of it. I'll never forget what that sounded and felt like. I was only 15 when it happened. I'm not sure I ever even told anyone about it. It was just so freaking scary and bizarre.

This video feels like sitting with a friend telling ghost stories at a slumber party and I love it. I have quite a few ghost stories, good and bad ones, so I'm gonna share my current favorite one here. There's a ghost who pops in to where I live occasionally named Peter. We first found out about him being here because one day we made baked potatoes and had one sitting on the stove and when we went into the kitchen next, the potato had been cut open when no one was in the room. Next time we made something with potatoes, the timer malfunctioned. Then one day I just had the thought in my head of, "the spirit is a guide. I should know his name. His name is Peter." From there I was saying to myself, "Hey, I haven't heard from Peter in a while, I hope he's doing well," and every time I went to the kitchen that day there was something new in the very center of the kitchen floor waiting for me. Told my mom about this and how I knew his name and turns out the ghost who had been following her since she was a teenager was named Peter. Now, whenever I cook something with potatoes, especially like when I do hand made gnocchi or something, I make sure to leave some for him so he knows he is welcomed and part of the household.

also, actual suggestion: I’d check the outside of your house for holes that could lead into crawl spaces or in between walls. We heard weird bangs and bops in our kitchen and it turned out to be a mama possum who’d move in with a couple kits haha. Could also be squirrels or even just acorns or pine nuts hitting your roof and making a weird echo. So, check for holes and also look into adopting a barn cat lol

My best advice as someone who has delt with this a lot in her life is to smudge your place. But make sure you do it in this order! 1.) Deep clean the house mop and clean the walls with orange and lemon peels in the mop water/wall water 2.) Smudge have the windows open and door open tell the spirit to please leave tell them that it is your space and they are not welcome. 3.) Fill the air with incense and music and things that make you happy. Hopefully that helps it usually works for me as I'm a practicing witch. I used to live in my step dads grandmas house we lived there long after she passed away in the home and I swear I could hear her walking around at night sometimes. Had my door open once and no one was there! Then footsteps came around the side of my bed so freaked me out I hid under covers. Think she was just checking on us idk! I used to live on the borders of London. When I was about 5 years old I woke up from something and wanted my parents, I went into the living room where they were watching a movie and the part I walked in on scared me so I ran to sit on the stairs and wait for my dad to take me back to bed. When I got to the stairs I looked up and saw a man in a WW1 gas mask staring down at me. I cried and pointed to my dad "he's there" my dad was confused and thought I was just imagining the scene from the movie and spooked myself. Many years later in my teens I found out that our house was standing since WW1 and WW2. My dad a few years later worked as security for some place in the area and had to do walks of the basement regularly, he saw a man dressed in WW2 attire with a lantern calling to him to evacuate and that he will escort him safely. My dad then believed what I saw.

Stellar job with the sound design, the low bass rumble made me pause and take off my headphones. I haven't had any experiences that couldn't be explained away except one. When I was 12 my brother was killed by a drunk driver while living in another province. On the morning his body was being returned my mom and I were just getting started on the day when the door to the house flew opened and slammed shut just like David always had done. We looked at each other and said he's home. It happened at the same time that the plane landed. My mom and I have both felt him with us from time to time since then.

I have kind of a weird one, there’s this creepy old mansion near me (it really looks like the Creel house from Stranger Things but not as rundown) and they would set it up at a haunted house at Halloween and have other open house tours at other holidays…so this happened at Christmas, not even on a creepy holiday but they asked me to play the harp during their open house. After I got set up and warmed up I had just started playing and had one of my hands up near the top strings and I felt this very distinct like ball of REALLY cold air on my hand! I stopped playing and sort of moved my hand around thinking it was just a draft, it’s a really old house after all, but it was in a really distinct spherical shape maybe about 4 or 5 inches across. It didn’t feel malevolent or anything…I think it was just a ghost that wanted to hang out and listen to some music! After a while I didn’t feel it any more but it was definitely in the top 3 weirdest things that have ever happened to me

Feel you! In our apartments we could hear, feel and see something strange too, but the whole family knew it's fine. Cuz in our country we beleive that all the houses have its paranormal housekeepers called Domovoy. But the thing is they are keeping the house safe and having one is good for you. But you should always remember that they love when home is clean, it's tidy there and the family atmosphere is soft and warm, otherwise domovoy will get angry and become a worst version of itself - Barabashka, And this guy won't let you live safe and sound. When domovoy may even prevent a disaster by touching you, barabashka will cause it. It can throw tings, open and close doors and frightening you. In our home we do have domovoy and sometimes it's too playful. I personally remember painting falling from the middle of a shelf and a heavy book fallen infront of me. The book was pressed buy other books on the shelf. It also warned my mum about gas left turned on. But once I used to face with barabashka. It turned on the gas while my friends and I were away. I never research before as I always want to be surprised! A little boy entity said, "Hello" to me and ran off - only heard him! He did not frighten me, and as I work with children, I answered him back with , "Hello," even though I could not see him. I asked the lady who works there if the Witch House was haunted, and she answered, yes. I told her that I had been in the presence of a little boy, probably around 4 to 6 years old, and she said, correct. There is also his mother in the house, but I did not feel her presence. I was thrilled I had this experience! I had always wanted to visit Salem, as it had been on my bucket list for many years, and it certainly did not disappoint! I love spooky stories! I’m not sure if this is just going to be completely unsolicited advice but stuff like this is constantly happening to me, I feel like in a way we manifest it. If you think about it more, the more it will happen. I like to burn pine needles and rosemary to “cleanse” my house & I just ask any negative “energies” or spirits, I guess you could call them, to leave me alone. Most of the time I don’t mind feeling like there is something around me, sometimes I even welcome them, but there are times where it feels malicious or uncomfortable and that’s typically when I feel like I need to do a house cleanse(: you can also just use incense or a variety of other methods. Anyone can do it! When I was younger, before I dabbled in stuff like this (knowingly) my little sister woke me up in the middle of the night because she watched a girl walk into our room and get into bed with me. To this day I still get creeped out thinking about it. She thought it was our older sister at first but as soon as she woke me up the girl disappeared. I also randomly used to hear my name being said to me in my ear in the voice of people who were never actually around me at the time.

please continue telling us about the other haunted places youve had experiences, i wonder if something got attached to you. i grew up in a house where things turned on by themselves, fell over, knocking on doors in the house, always a feeling something was standing over you, voices in the house. i moved out of my parents house and i didn’t have anything happening for two years then things happen in my apartment with seeing shadows, i had a snow globe on a desk that would play music in the middle of the night. tv would just come on to static. i moved again after three years, now im having random electrical stuff tvs and computers burning out, rooms the lights wont work, stuff falling over, what sounds like someone running and the front door opening and closing. i’ve smudged, ive but a protection spell on a strip of tape on all the door frames and windows. its died down a little bit again. have you tried doing a spirit box app in the house? i wouldn’t bring the chest back. put it somewhere neutral and maybe just film it? bind that thing too.

I would say maybe 2 months from now, I kept hearing like loud noises. Loud noises like bangs or crashes and I’d tell my siblings hey wtf was that. And they were like nothing (they couldn’t hear anything) I would say maybe the start of March I was getting ready for school, I was in front of my vanity doing my makeup and then I hear this manly voice say my name, I was thinking maybe it was brother because sometimes he makes weird voices to piss me off, but the thing is they voice felt so close to my ear and was also very loud. Well, I have had a few experiences, I’ve had both spooky and “spiritual” occurrences. First of all sleep paralysis is very common for me, literally had one last night and that time it was real spooky. As a person I tend to find the logic in things and tend to doubt the existence of other beings around us. It’s funny because these things happen to me and after a while I just think to myself, “no way that was real I must’ve been dreaming” and start to kinda doubt everything that happened. Then another thing happens, it’s almost always like they want to remind me that I’m not alone, in a good way. At the same time I’m a pretty superstitious person, anything that happens or if I see a pattern of some sort, I’ll try to figure out the true meaning behind that. Let me begin with a few of my “paranormal” experiences. The most frequent one, last night. I was falling asleep, while I fall asleep I tend to think and kind of imagine scenarios of daily life and it then turns into dream mode somehow. I was in my room, waking up trying to turn my light on, but I felt dizzy and my head felt heavy. As I’m turning my light on (the ceiling fan-light), I’m slow and I end up hanging from the little chain thing of the fan and I’m spinning around (super random dream) but it felt real. Then I fell to the floor and froze, I was paralyzed. Somehow I made it to my bed or was somehow moved there. I’m under my blanket (I tend to sleep under my blanket because I don’t want to see weird shadows at night), with a little space that allows me to see outside of my blanket. I have this Himalayan salt lamp that changes colors, I saw the light blink various colors and then I saw a figure with some sort of Medieval knight helmet. Staring at me, I didn’t see the eyes or body, I guess my blanket was covering my ability to see everything else. But it was him and someone else on my right side, I was facing more towards the left. They both started to pull on my blankets and shake them. I at this point began to panic a little because that shits scary. I couldn’t move, I felt my heartbeat really loud in my ears, so loud that I thought my head was gonna explode. I wanted to yell but I couldn’t, I was yelling in my head, I tried to pinch my leg because my hand was on my leg. Didn’t work, didn’t feel it. Then I woke up. Another experience, this was actually a few weeks ago. I have moments where I get paranoid and I feel like something is near me, something with a weird energy. Mind you, humans are capable of feeling different types of energy, good and bad, when it’s bad you’d be afraid, if it’s good you’d feel calm and in good company, it’s a 6th sense we have. I was sitting at my desk doing some homework, in my zone, we have this little hallway and if I walk out to the right, my moms room is there, if it’s the left side then the living room I’d there. I saw something walk by to my moms room, I thought it was her. She wasn’t home though. In my head I’m like “okay whatever it must’ve been the light or something, maybe it was my hair moving in my face”. A few days pass by, im home alone again, im in the bathroom and I thought I heard my mom come home. I walk out, I feel someone in the living room but I don’t check because I needed to go to my room. I could’ve sworn my mom was there, I go and check and she wasn’t. I wasn’t afraid though, it just felt like a familiar presence. A few nights later, my moms phone accidentally connected to our speakers in the living room. At night she normally plays some Frequency sounds, apparently the frequency she was listening to was meant for contacting your spirit guides. These sounds are blasting through the speakers, I don’t mind it because it’s quite relaxing. The next day my mom was making breakfast (I was asleep), she felt I was behind her, she turns around and sees that i wasn’t behind her. I was sound asleep. She didn’t feel afraid, she just felt like someone familiar was there, if that makes sense. The same day we end up talking about it and she was waiting for me to tell her I felt something weird, I felt it, I just wasn’t spooked. Normally when I am spooked, I’ll tell her so we can do some cleansing. Another time I had sleep paralysis, I knew I was going to have it. I can stop it from happening sometimes but this time I was like “man whatever, let’s just deal with it”. I start to fall into paralysis and I open my eyes, same Himalayan salt lamp, except this time it was only light blue. I suddenly start to feel my body floating up out of my bed, i had my eyes closed, I was ascending higher and higher, although I didn’t open my eyes to see the distance or anything, I just felt it. All of a sudden I reach this stopping point and still having my eyes closed, I see this woman. A black woman, brown curly hair, and she was a big woman. Beautiful too. She was like sitting on top of me but all I felt was this sense of peace and warmth and love from her. She hugged me, said something about a guy? I don’t remember exactly what she said. I told my mom the next day and she said I was describing the woman she had encountered many years ago when I was in the hospital, the woman had seen her crying and was consoling her, the woman asked my mom to pray with her. Of course I knew more details when it happened so she was able to tell me it was that same woman. She always thought she was my guardian angel of some sort. One last story, I have way too many but this one is really cool. A few years ago, my mother was in an accident, she was in between 2 trucks (she was okay). After a few days, she’s looking in her wallet and finds a coin. A golden coin, with an angel on it. We have absolutely no idea where it came from. Another day, she was walking our dog and sees a white husky/wolf looking dog. Since the dog we had was a beagle, he was a bit petite and of course she didn’t want to risk a weird dog fight, so she goes back upstairs to bring him inside so she could check on this other dog. It didn’t have a collar. When she went back down to check on it, it was gone. Never seen again. Oh boy that’s a lot of reading, if you read through all of that, thanks for reading:) I’d definitely love to hear some more spooky stories. I was actually listening to you talk about the voodoo chest and I was putting up some clothes, my mom walks by my room and looks at me, I looked at her and jumped lol. Much gratitude, Nicole
