It's like waves of tsunami that wipes out enemies from several feet away. I'm glad you like him. I usually build for Serene Storm with the reactive augment on. Best with Sacrificial mods to get max critical chance. And there are ways to give him a combo build even though he hits enemies from afar. One way is using a block utility build where you get combo counter by blocking. Also, 25:13 you okay there? That sudden tangent is gold. Like Baruuk default accent color gold. Man, I feel like you will love Hildryn too. Plays completely different. Mind-blowingly. She's like Iron Man complete as a walking/hovering reactor. Not to mention.... she has a different dodge.

Desolate hands is like Novas null stars, they give baruuik and allies damage reduction per charge swarming you, up to a cap and ass they seek enemies you lose DR. However unlike a tanky Nova baruuk can't use minimum range to cheese this as the seek range of his daggers is still decently high even with that low range, so its a bit unreliable for DR and meant mostly for disarming enemies who get close to you. You didn't seem to notice but Baruuk's abilities have speech, roughly. When you cast his 4 for example he says "turn away" before the screeching sound happens. When he casts Elude, he says "stop". Also, its worth putting more forma on Baruuk's weapon so you can fit both umbral mods on. The crit chance boost increases from that mod if you also have the other one equipped. When maxed you will have around 150% crit chance so 50% for orange crits on normal attacks, and you will have 300% crit chance on heavy attacks meaning red crits on every hit lol....

It’s so much fun to see someone having so much fun using a frame for the first time, it’s giving me flashbacks Some tips; the Reactive Storm augment is just as crazy as you think, it’s very strong. Desolate hands gives you 10% damage reduction per dart up to 90%, on top of 50% from your passive, plus 40% from Serene Storm. Therefore, Adaptation is borderline useless and is giving you at most a couple % of damage reduction, whereas Vitality will double your health. He gets way more value from vitality. You want to build him for negative duration because 1) Negative dur usually means higher strength and efficiency which makes spamming his powers more viable and 2) Less duration means enemies sleep for less time, meaning you can recast lull to put them to sleep again quicker, resulting in your restraint eroding way quicker so that you can use Storm way more consistently. Also, Desolate Hands simply targets the enemy closest to you on a rotation.

Im glad you like Baruuk as much as we do! Fun fact: Thanks to Baruuk we have a clip of Lotus saying LUL(L)! Wowowowowow, Ricky. Redeemer is in no way a bad Weapon D: Its like Stropha, but as a shotgun! Baruuks 4 Augment is insane! It means you can stack damage on his 4 without worrying! As for build, yeah I dropped VItality as well because he has so many layers of damage reduction. Then I helminthed off his 1 for many different abilities, my current favorite is Valkyrs Warcry. And once Lull + Desolate Hands dropped my Restraint far enough and I enter Serene Storm, Desolate Hands is enough to keep the meter down.

For a desert wind build you would usually run a high strength low duration build with the desert wind augment. Strength for more daggers, status chance (since the augment scales off of strength) and lastly to cap out the dmg reduction. neg duration so that you can spam lull to erode your restraint faster. you'll usually build for damage, attack speed, crits and corrosive or viral (use the 90% elemental mods in this case because you're already over 100 status chance so its better to have more elemental damage). Hope this helps a bit :)

Love this vid, recalling the early moments playing baruuk. Played negative duration to spam lull and restriction down keep. Haven't subsumed his first ability contrary to popular suggestions. Watching this I'm glad because now I'm going to try to build him perma invulnerable, with continuous elude and still hit like a truck. Can't wait for DE to finally prime this warframe. My main Steel path frame with 8 forma and some Umbra. Sad when Prime comes out to re forma this BA again. Fashion on him is wonderful too. I even have a Last Airbender Ang build with a Zephyr subsume. Wind tornado for even more cc. You can also run Naramon as your focus to have combo slowly deplete rather than completely disappear when using your hands.

As a baruuk main im happy your doing good with him. I've modded for serene Storm with negative duration. I play steel path solo way more consistently now and it's not really that hard. Enjoying the videos keep it up.

30:34 for his fists you should use Condition Overload when u get his augment. Also you could forma his aura slot into a V for steel charge for extra melee dmg

Co only works with direct contact. The waves don't scale off co. So unless your gonna be spamming slide attacks just use ppp

Theres this trick with melee guidance aura (rare arbitration drop but useless outside this), which costs 5 plat, the new melee praedos for the slam combo gain and the melee focus tree that basically lets baruuk stay in max combo forever and red crit with gladiator mods. The aura is needed to not allow his fist direct hits to gain combo so he always uses the melee combo.

Since everybody's given you tips for main Baruuk build (which works amazingly in steel path and high level contents), and they have done fantastic job with it, I'm gonna do something different. Since regular starchart does nit have that many enemies, much more comfortable build for it (and also slightly different gameplay when you want to change it up a little bit) is to run enough range to have 360 degrees damage evasion on elude (making you invincible when you don't attack) and that range also gives you huge range on your lull for big cc abilities. Give him some duration if you want lull to last longer (optional, also tip for lull it lingers for some time so even enemies that werent in the cast radius can fall asleep if they come in in that window). Also efficiency is your friend for keeeping elude as long as possible. You will drop your meter slowly with big area lulls or you can find lasers, heavy gunner or generally enemies that shoot decently fast and just stand in front of them with elude on Serene storm stays the same, and its starchart so even without augment it wrecks. Unfortunately desolate hands become almost useless (if you have spare energy you can always use them but this build does not benefit them). But his regular build makes elude useless so you have to pick one or the other anyways (which makes for an easy subsume for each of the builds)

Baruuk has been my main for a long, long while. Personally I run a high power strength build with negative duration and range and the Serene Storm augment. Strength maximizes the charges and damage reduction from Desolate Hands and negative range keeps the daggers from being used up too quickly. Negative duration also lets me spam the absolute hell out of Lull if I need to drop restraint fast. And Serene Storm hits like an absolute truck. The damage reduction is sooooooo strong.

I don’t quite recall, but doesn’t strength count as a damage mod on the exalted weapon? Like, doesn’t it stack additively with the + damage mods? If that’s the case, would it not be better to use an elemental instead of a base damage mod after stacking strength on your build?

@@penisboss5976 Yes, strength does increase the damage on Desert Wind. And I do use elemental mods on my Desert Wind. I was just talking about the actual build for Baruuk himself, not really the exalted weapon. Since I'm running the Serene Storm augment and that covers my status chance, I mod it for crit. The elemental damage type doesn't really matter because of the augment, but I have viral set on mine with a primed fever strike. With the augment on, Desert Wind matches its damage type to the enemy's elemental weakness so it always does effective damage, but I still like to see the viral procs for higher level content.

Ohhh boy, if you were waiting for a frame to do steel path with, let me tell you ricky that you just found it. Baruuk its more of a tank than a panzer from ww2 and has the punching force of a truck filled with more trucks. The augment for his 4th its batshit crazy, letting the waves with +100% status chance with ease and with the alrready high crit and adaptative damage it can clean enemies better than a vacuum cleans dirt. Just as a note that can be both good and bad for you: baruuk prime its coming in a few months, probably 3 months after khora prime... so building him now will mean resources wasted in a few months. Anyways, good place to waste resources in the meantime because baruuk its top tier.

Baruuk is the one of the strongest yet least played frames in the game. For me I have ~7 different builds where i just subsumed off his 1st ability. At their base they are quite similar because I run Reactive Storm. I main Baruuk and that won't change until I main Baruuk Prime.

Baruuk was in my top 10 most santed frames when i downloaded the game and now over 2 yeaes in it i still dont have him. im playing very casualy and not too often but my point is even if somebody likes him he is a pain to get and most people wont put that amount of effort when you can get some amazing frames much easier (mag volt nezha zephyr wukong equinox ember saryn and even wisp protea and gauss are decently easy to get compared to him)

Another thing. Baruuk's 4th ability seems to be affected by your equipped melee weapon's mod setup too in some way. For example when i have my heavy attack build redeemer on i notice his 4th does increased heavy attack damage too.

if you want to push the Red Crits of Desert Wind to the next level, use Melee Guidance in the aura and put the Gladiator Set and combo duration on your melee and one Glad Mod on the Desert Wind to get the bonus. Normally the Gladiator Set bonus bugs out if you build combo on the Melee and then go to Desert Wind and build combo there too. However, Melee Guidance reduces the Combo Duration for you by 5 seconds, making Exalted Weapons have a -1 Second combo duration. So it is impossible to build even a single combo point on Desert Wind. Since we use the Gladiator Set though we still get the bonus of 11x Combo on the Desert Wind, literally letting you perma red crit until you fall below 9x, which with Combo Duration mods pushing that to 24 seconds and Naramon Power Spike active will take you around 12 minutes of pure red. My current Melee Combo Primer is the Verdilac since the archon set was bugged to give 300% damage to everything, not just slams, but now that that's fixed you can use every melee you want. I'm thinking about swapping to the Venka Prime myself, having that 12x Combo available sounds juicy.

Also, about your problem with energy of the 3: built correctly you'll have like 18 daggers around you, so you don't have to recast it after 3. If you want to keep 90% DR at all times recast when it drops to 8, if you don't care about damage reduction, recast at 0. Either way, way less casting than you do right now. The only thing you really need energy for is your 2, because built correctly you have negative duration to spam Lull for the Restraint and Augur/Brief Respite shield. You want to spam 2, especially when your 4 is active, to keep the Serene Storm active as long as possible, it is the strongest Exalted Weapon in the game after all, especially with the augment that lets it deal adabting damage.

I get like 27 daggers, there is barelly any gap between them. Always cast them at the end of Void Fisures just to go the extra mile.
