nothing against Rico, but Tony Khan used to bring in old stars like Sting, Jeff Hardy, RVD, etc. ... and now he brings in Rico. Shows where AEW is today.

Not at all. There's only so many older stars about. Some unfortunately passed, might be ridiculously expensive per appearance, WWE lifers or have already made their aew debut. The people that's left are those like Marty Jannetty or OrLando Jordan who'd be either laughed out of the building or given no reaction so yes, the debuts may have gone off the boil a bit but i can't blame Khan for thatt
