Always fun watching various manufacturers discuss lubrication. Others warn about using lithium grease rather use full synthetic grease. Some bearings require 5W-40 full synthetic but stick with sewing machine oil on linkages. And don't forget to grease those hidden cams.

Yet no one talks about how tight these screws are on top of the bobbin housing. It’s been 4 days and I still haven’t been able to unscrew them because I don’t want to strip it-like I did the tight screws in the arm! Ughhh

I bought lucas brand white lithium grease and it was like cream 😅 so I don’t know its okay with the machine or not ? Ricoma SWD-1501 is my machine

What are some errors that may be caused by waiting too long in between maintenance? I am getting "main axis reverse", my machine has a relatively short life (about 15-20 jobs under 2k count) but it looks like the mechanisms are starting to get sticky/gunky and it feels like it's overcompensating on the downward stitch

Your main axis could be binding due to lack of oil and certain components may wear faster.

There are certain maintenance as frequent as oiling rotary hook every 4 hours of use that if not performed are going to cause issues, so it’s not a “jip”, just things that machine owners are required to do

You'll have to move it to needle 1 or get an angled screwdriver!
