Your story seems a lot like mine when I first got my Ricoma TC 1501. There is so much to learn, that isn't in any video. I received my machine and I had to wait two weeks before the first class and the instructor broke my machine during the class on video. So they had to send a service man to my home and I live in Texas and I think he came from a city in Texas. He taught me a lot of good tips. It took me almost 3 weeks to get someone to listen to the video and see how my machine was broken. I got the video tech assist also before they decided the part had to be replaced inside the machine. I was down the 6 weeks of ownership.

Hello Brittany. We have had nothing but issues with our machine. It will run smoothly for a bit and then out of no where tensions go all out whack. Ricoma's customer service is a complete joke. I wish my husband would have done better research before getting this machine. I absolutely hate it. It embroiders so messy in comparison to other machines. I know it isn't our digitizer either. We have tried numerous digitizers and always with the same result. I didn't have my machine up and running for 9 weeks. Yes, 9 WEEKS!!! We have yet to have a month with it running enough to say that it has been paying itself off because it is not the case. Just when we think, great we have a customer that needs several items, this just might be the month we make enough to not have to pay out of pocket, something ends up happening, and I end up sourcing out the job. We have the 1502 and never have both heads worked equally well to say we can run two jobs at the same time. This machine absolutely sucks and their customer service, even more.

Brittany, A whole month without my machine I kept telling Ricoma that the videos they were sending me were not fixing my issues they even sent me a email telling me that they wasn’t going to call me to look at the videos and fix it . Girl that got me heated I called back and told them that I wanted a tech and I wasn’t going to look at anymore videos . Finally after 2 days we finally got word of someone that they found a tech in my area . we had a tech come to my house to look at my TC-1501 , the tech was good but he didn’t know everything with the Ricoma machine and I was disappointed about that like you I want someone more informative. He fixed my problem with tape until we get the part which is a Thread Break sensor . I knew it was much more serious then those stupid videos they had me looking at. Anyways good luck .

Hello Brittany. I'm in the Orlando area also and recently acquired a Ricoma from a friend that shut his business down. Is the tech local or nearby? I need a tech to come out and was ticked when Ricoma told me a tech would have to come from Miami and ran down the cost. If not Garfield, have you found one near us?

All techs are sent from Miami, I had both Garfield and Alejandro help with my machine as they don't have anyone local and you'll be paying a pretty penny if they come out. However if you need your machine looked at you might not have a choice.

So did you try to rotate the x axis after the part was changed out? Thank you for that info it’s hard to find especially about tracing the design before installing the hat… my structured hat gets yanked and winds up messing up the machine but you just can’t seem to learn that information anywhere smh Ricoma is f**** trash and there help sucks I can never get a video chat!. Also after I trace I use the other more precise trace tool to the right of it, and when I finally get the position I want the only way to lock it in is either to remember the axis coordinates from the screen or use the trace tool again ughhh which means taking the hat back off!! Any more tips from anyone please?
