Lorenzo Mariani No problem, you do some amazing work with these. It really helps me put the pieces togheter when looking at what remains today. Shame Ravenna (and byzantine architecture in general) does not get anywhere near enough scholarly interest. Because there is so little info about it.

As You know i Live in Ravenna. It's a fantastic city And The People Who Live there don't know The 90 % of its history And monuments. I Think that byzantine architecture And mosaics are only for persons Who want To Connect themselves To something more: They are alone in front of Beauty And The simplicity of Beauty And Gold. A Lot of persons prefer The noise To The sound of silence that You Can hear in byzantine churches.

Lorenzo Mariani Yeah it is really rather sad it does not get more exposure. I was in Ravenna last year, and I remember going into San Apolinaire Nuovo and it being completely empty, not even a line. I mean it is nice to not deal with all that noise, but it is also kind of sad.
