@@nono_ami I don't think Foreman, Frazier, Lyle and many others would agree. Punches don't have to be singularly devastating to be effective that's why you punch in combination. " It's not the size of the gun but the effect of the bullet".

@@duprez2 firstly he was involved with the applied pharmacy services which was involved with supplying roids and HGH to athletes. secondly he gained 25lbs of muscle to the move to HW going from 190 to 215 lean muscle without going through any bulking process in near to no time this is laughable becuase this was nothing near his original genetic structure and frame. He started his campaign from the beginning at 175 pounds light HW. Thirdly he showed classic physical roid signs from the pecs to his trapezius muscle development which is commonly over developed through roid use.
@duprez2
@duprez2 6 жыл бұрын
@@adriand5219 Again he never failed a drug test. It was 18 lbs of muscle not 25 lbs. No time at all? He went from 190 lbs to 208 within 4 to 5 bouts. His AMATEUR career was at light heavyweight. At only 6' 1" his body had not finished growing. His professional career was at 6' 2" and 1/2 from 185 lbs on up. Many fighters nearly dehydrate themselves trying to make their so called natural weight. His muscle structure was no different from 190 to 208 only more mass. Show me the actual PROOF, then I'll concede.

He's 6'2, but it's not just about height. He was never what you would call a "natural" heavyweight...at least not for his era. Remember he came UP from the cruiserweights. He was fighting at a time when most of the natural heavyweights were getting bigger and stronger. Holyfield bulked up--on weights, supplements, steroids,whatever-- to become a competitive heavyweight, but he was almost ALWAYS at a size disadvantage against the natural heavyweights. Look how much smaller he was than Bowe. Bowe, Buster Douglas, Lennox Lewis...those guys are HUGE. Again, it's not just about height. Shorter fighters can be naturally bigger and bulkier, too (I.e., Ray Mercer).To his credit, Holyfield held his own and bested many bigger fighters, but sometimes those size disadvantages made a difference.

Holyfield only needs to beat Bowe once to best him. Holyfield was way smaller and shouldn't of been able to make a competitive fight. The fact that Bowe struggled so much with Evander. That's credit to how good Evander was. One win for Holy is better than both of Bows wins. Heck Evander was winning the third fight. He just got too reckless in exchanging with a much bigger man. Bowe was supposed to be able to beat a natural cruiser easily. But it didn't go down like that.

If evander had landed that left right he was doing at the end Bowe would have been knocked out. But bowe caught him first. Excellent fight from both.
