The answer is, "What is behind the person who speaks the truth?" What he answers will indicate which door he is standing in front of, regardless of him being the honest one or the liar.

I figured out that you’re correct. Here’s an alternate answer: ask either troll “is the truthful troll in front of the door leading to heaven?” The troll will answer yes if he’s in front of the heaven door, and he’ll answer no if he’s in front of the hell door.

(truth troll) he would answer truthfully and say the other troll would lie and send you to the HELL DOOR... (lying troll) he would lie about the truth trolls answer and trick you to hell. so the door they point at is hell... its kinda hard to explain lols Btw the qustion you have to ask is...what would the other goblin say if i asked which door is heaven

This riddle is pretty tricky, but I know how to solve it. Simply ask "If I were to asked the other guard which door is the correct door, what would he say?" Then choose the opposite of the answer he gives you. Here's how it works: The Lying guard would lie to you and say that the honest guard would choose the wrong door. The Honest guard would tell you that the liar would choose the wrong door because that's the truth.

RavingPlaylist Since they're both green and one always lies than he'd say he's like red or blue. So I'd know that the one that said he was green would be the one with the door to heaven.

This question has many valid answers. The simplest being asking a question that you know the answer to so you can test the veracity of the trolls. "What color is your skin?" "What color is my hair (assuming the troll can see your hair)?" "Does heaven exist?" "Does hell exist?", etc ...

As an example. you ask "does hell exist?" The liar will say "no" the truth teller will say "yes" the one who says yes is in front of heaven, the one who says no is in front of hell. There are hundreds or thousands of other questions that one could ask to get the same result.

your assuming that the liar is guarding hell and the truth sayer is guarding heaven- that isn't mentioned in the riddle

This riddle has no answer, with this question, if you ask the liar you take the other door. if you ask the truth teller you the other door. But you dont know which one your talking to, and you can only ask one troll and one person. so you have to hope.

the riddle does have an answer with this question..if you ask the liar he will lie about what the truth saying troll would say and lead you to the wrong door...if you ask the truth teller he would tell the truth about what the liar would say also leading you to the wrong door.. in both instances you take the other door.

If the troll did not know how you got there he could not answer, because he would not know what the truth was...and then could not say anything for there would be a chance he would be lying...or telling the truth
