Having played over 100 hours of Ride 3 i have some imput. A few core points for anyone wishing to invest in this game. I wont bore you with the positive aspects of the game because when buying a game you want to know about the NEGATIVES. The developer will happily read out to you the positives. 1- the physics of the motorcycle are just not good enough. Ride 3 is far too arcady than something closer to life. Even on 1000cc superbikes, you can open the throttle on corner exit and with "pro physics" and no traction control, the tyre wont even spin. This makes riding some of the bigger bikes very UNsatisfying. Wheelies seem completely random, as in you will wheelie sometimes in 2nd gear on a 100 hp suzuki, but will not on a 220 hp ducati supersport in 2nd gear. Makes no sense. Stock gearing is awful : final drive is often waaaaay to long, we are approaching 200mph final drive for even 600cc supersports. Suspension isnt done right either: many bikes that have in real life abysmal suspension seem on rails in this game: notably the MT 09 as an example. You dont get any impression of instability in corners: a softly sprung naked will corner just as well as a 600cc supersport. Makes no sense. Finally the brakes on this game are far too potent. You can brake far later than you should be able to, brake mid corner with no apparent management. Overall i dont understand how most of this is so dumbed down considering the physics on MOTO GP are FAR more realistic and rewarding. As a result, you will find that certain bikes are far faster than others, even if in the real world: it is the exact opposite. 2- the AI is utter garbage. On some tracks even pumping the difficulty to the maximum and you will outclass them fairly easily. On other tracks you reduce them to half difficulty and they keep up and pull away. The AI will stick to the racing line, and in the event of a collision it is 99% of the time YOU, the player who will be knocked off whereas they will keep on riding as if nothing happened. Overall the AI is worse than most racing games. 3- The grind... Plain and simple. Ride 3 boasts a huge number of available bikes, but the vast majority (or so it seems) are not available from the get go. To own simply all the liter bikes (im talking the top of the tree kawasaki, yamaha, suzuki, honda, ducati, aprilia, mv agusta... etc) one must grind for hours and hours and hours. All the races must be WON: there is no real point in coming second: no prizes. To achieve any prize in this game you must win every single race of a category. This will unlock other categories + other bikes that you win as prizes. So many of the bikes are only available as DLC and what is truly criminal, is that bikes available in ride 2 without dlc, are only available in ride 3 WITH DLC. If the entirety of the bikes list was available through grind it MIGHT be worth it, but even if you unlock everything in the game, you will still need to whip out your wallet for many of the bikes you would like. Whats more, VERY VERY FEW new bikes are available in this game: most of the models are from 2015 or previous years. Even most of the best sellers such as z900s, street triple 765s are simply not included! Hell the z800 is available but only as a DLC!!!! 4- The track variety is complete garbage, tracks that were in ride 2 are no longer present. Many of the included tracks are motocross or road racing tracks. Very few actual race tracks are in this AAA game. My overall impression when playing this game is almost an extension of ride 2, but with the difficulty dumbed down and fewer bikes. If milestone could share their AI and physics from MOTO GP into ride 3 it would certainly add some bonuses.

I have come across some good car racing sims that aren't bad, such as the old GT Legends, but I have never found a bike racing sim that grabs me, it just doesn't feel anything like. I've ridden a Daytona 955 and Thundercat around Cadwell Park and Donington Park and the real thing is alot easier to ride then this. It looks great, but I just can't get any feel for this at all.

If this had the 2 player split screen mode and an option on single player quick race that allows you to choose each one of your opponents and how many you want to race against I would give this 9/10 but as it is now the best I can give is 7/10. It’s a real shame because it really is a fantastic game and better than Ride 2. If Milestone could add the above and give all bikes the same attention to sound and detail in future Rides the game would get a much higher score. Milestone are ether lazy or want to get the game out ASAP. Take your time we can wait for it as long as it takes if it’s got the above ;)

Throughout all these videos that I’ve seen of this game you have to be the only one that ever said that the handling is easy in this game. I haven’t even played any of these games but I really want to play one and I’m just confused right now because literally every other person said that the handling is difficult. Are you like a pro at these games? I’m not trying to be funny or anything I’m just trying to figure out if your easy is the same as my easy.

@@angelserrano9049 I'm not a pro lol but I enjoy full-sim racing. Ride & MotoGP feel like arcade-sim not full-sim. Not to say they're bad games because they're both actually pretty good. Ride is the better game in my opinion. :)

I just got ride3 for 12$ I'm not really liking it. It had nothing to do with physics or anything like that it just feels like Forza to me I don't like being so disconnected. That's why I play Moto GP games a lot because you feel you're really in a championship with real riders, I hate this Forza style one off races that don't mean anything except earning new bikes. I don't like racing against AI named after other players it's stupid, make up fake names shit I don't care I don't want to be racing against Xflash33554 lol. I want to feel like I'm working towards something not just random races. Cool collection game but other than that it's worthless to me.

Did you play MotoGP 07? I always felt the newer ones seemed dead compared to that one, the last that Climax/THQ did before Capcom and Milestone took over. For me that was the best one and I just reinstalled it and the sense of speed is just awesome, everytime I watch a video of MotoGP 19, 20 it looks so slow and boring, like before you reach speed there is a new corner, it's like mopeds just cruising around. What do you think about it and which version do you have? I was tempted to buy it since it looks graphically nicer than motogp 07 but that is almost all it has over it, there is no challenge mode, no extreme mode or point system to grow your stats on your driver. I really like that aspect of the game and in MotoGP 20 it's just choosing a bike and ride it against others, nothing else to do which seem so limited.

It's a motorcycle racing simulator. It's for people who care about racing lines and beating lap times on the track or learning tracks and shifting at the right time, playing with suspension, load balance and so on. If you're looking for a casual "need for speed" type game this is not what they made Ride 2 and 3 for. It doesnt need commentators or dialogue, traffic, guns or characters or anything else. I recommend ride 2 though, I found the physics are slightly better.

From early footage it seems the bikes still sound like shit. Which is a shame. Milestone bike games are great, but are always let down by the engine sound effects. Why cant they get it right?

Hi there, I definitely I ow what you mean. I have always felt let down by the sound of motorcycles in video games. Having played a lot of the previous MotoGP games by Milestone, I can say that the engine sound in ride 3 is the best I've heard. Not perfect but each engine configuration has a distinct sound and tone that really makes it more enjoyable. The small displacement bikes still sound like shit though haha

Dakar kinda does that, but if ride 3 is anything like ride 2, there are a small handful of ADV bikes you can use on regular circuits. If it's off road you're after MXGP and other motocross games have gone quite far in terms of physics and graphics.

Gixxer some of the bikes are the same detail as ride 2 so I’ll agree with that one but the tracks are much better looking compared to Ride 1 and 2. What format are you playing it on? it makes a big difference on 60 FPS but not graphically it’s just a lot smoother. I can switch between both 30 FPS and 60 and there’s a big difference.
