I want to thank those at the Glendale Police Department who made this happen. I've been trying to get into police departments for years, but it's pretty much impossible with how I shoot and edit (which means there's no outside control reviewing the edit before I post). I know you take a risk with anyone with a camera showing the inner workings of what you do, so thank you for taking this risk with me. And a special thanks to the Police Chief who allowed this all to happen. And if there are any other police departments with something to show and you're okay with me being free range and shooting/editing in my style, please contact me at contact@petersantenello.com Americans need to know more about what's happening on our streets, especially this massive spike in Fentanyl usage that you all have to deal with daily. ► 🎥 More Behind the Scenes Videos: petersantenello.com/ ► 📝 My Free Weekly Newsletter: www.bit.ly/3HC36EH ► 👕 Merch: innercircle.petersantenello.com/collections/all

Every Dept has them. I have a close friend that was on the local PD. One night he pulled a guy over and the driver backed up his car and hit my friend trying to run. Luckily backup had just pulled up and was able to help subdue the driver and my friend was not badly hurt. My friend had every right to jerk the guy out of the car and do a long version of River Dance on his head, but didn't. We were out one night and a guy walked up and started talking to my friend. As the guy walked away he said thank you for not holding a grudge and getting me help. That was when I was told the story of how the two of them met. 99% of officers are tolerant and understanding, but that 1% that is bad is what gets amplified.

@@jasonzwack8342lemme guess you hate the police because you saw a single 25 second long clip of someone being arrested with the caption of "Unjust arrest" or" Police brutality" There needs to be attention to the police that isn't mindless complaining. There isn't enough constructive criticism. Only criminals wanting to get away from punishment. And please, if you had any idea what journalism is you would've watched the video and understood immediately that most journalism is just political bias. But again I'm probably wasting my time and you can barely read a sentence that isn't 12 words long.

@@BeexzI'm glad you admitted it was a guess. You're about as accurate as you can be with what little information you had. Let me give you some more information and see what your diagnosis is then. First of all I don't hate police. I am critical of their actions. I spent two years in jail for something I didn't do. (I know every criminal says that) I'm not going to get into too much detailI put two cops lied committed perjury. Came up with fake evidence had people sign fake stories. Helped the court appointed attorneys husband and wife both trick me into accepting felony charges for something happened while I was 300 mi away. All because I was unaware of the legal system and what cops and lawyers are capable of. I love your response. I'm actually making a video about this very video. It's hard to respond to your comments. No offense scratch that I hope you're offended by this enough so that you look up a journalists job duty above everything else but you're obviously unaware of what journalism is. And you somehow have confused what facts of actual events are and the titles for point of view perspectives on journalistic productions. I'm a firm believer in telling the truth and doing what is right. I don't hate anybody. I agree there needs to be attention to police that isn't mindless complaining or blind dick sucking. Now here's why I am critical of the police. Because they misused the powers granted to them to hurt people. If they're not actively hurting somebody by using force or lying. Then they are neglecting somebody until they are unhelpable. I spent 16 hours listening two police ignore the screams and eventual crying and begging of a dude in the cell next to me to go to medical. The only reason the police went in there, not because of the smell of his dead body, but because they had nowhere to put the food he was supposed to eat. You want to know what the news said about it? "Police officers efforts for life saving medical attention werent enough to save overdosing man". See if police were doing their job correctly there wouldn't be any journalistic or news stories about them acting badly. Anyway this is getting kind of long. I'll read any response you have to this and if you really want to know what's going on with the world and police I'll give you my email or whatever

We ask the police to do too much and to do things they can't possibly do, then blame them when it inevitably gets worse. Like that poor guy in the beginning. He's schizophrenic and addicted to opiates. What the hell is a cop going to be able to realistically do to help that guy? They're not psychiatrists. Even if they take him to a shelter, those places are so crowded and underfunded he'll be kicked out the next morning to make space for the countless others in need. He's not going to have a job and money to pay for the healthcare he really needs. Who would hire him? No wonder no one want to be a cop besides psychopaths. They're the only ones crazy enough to stick around. People in this country don't want to actually deal with these problems. They just want to push the problem somewhere they can't see. Spending tax money on helping these people off the streets and getting clean is commie talk. But spending even more on cleaning up the mess, more police, and prisons is fine apparently. Sorry to soapbox. This stuff just makes me so sad.

I'm very impressed - both with the Glendale PD and Peter Santenello: the former for being willing to allow Peter with his camera to spend the day with them and so freely and openly talk about the struggles, issues, and also triumphs of their vocations, and the latter for filming in such a respectful way and asking probing questions. This is the journalism you don't see on any major network, PBS, NPR, or any other media format. But you find it on KZbin.

Oh look statist’s worshipping agents of the state because they can’t take accountability for themselves… pitiful. If police were trying to help people they wouldn’t regularly shoot unarmed people, violate everyone’s individual liberties without a second thought, lie on police reports, sell drugs back to the community after confiscating them, run extortion rings, protect rich pdf files from accountability, protect judges from accountability for corruption, protect each other when they mess up, create a homeless problem and then attack people for being homeless, create a drug problem and then go to war against everyone for not being on their side of the blue line in their drug war, wouldn’t grape women in their cruisers on the clock, wouldn’t leave people in their hot police cars to die, have puff-pieces ran for them by people like this “journalist” to repair their image, taze people to death, pad their budgets by creating ordinances that allow them to extract even more wealth from the community, have drugs injected in people against their will, serve no-knock warrants like the British in 1774, constantly protect abusers and incriminate the people that are being abused simply because the abuser made the 911 call, detain people without having committed a crime, and I could go on and on. The point is, it is delusional to think police are doing anything other than protecting the ruling class from accountability and kicking people when they are down to make a dollar. If you support the police still, despite living under tyrannical rule that violates our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, and many other rights… you’ve been brainwashed into the cult of statism.

I joked "Sure, you show up *after I changed the tire" . He laughed and said "Yeah, I watched you from the other side until you were done so I didn't have to get dirty". Credit to Peter for getting approval to spend time with Glendale PD. I think the reason they said yes, at least in part, is because he has a reputation for reporting without inserting his bias. Thank you Peter for the inside view. I can't imagine being an officer. They have to have so much tolerance, and compassion to do what they do along with enforcing the law. Officers get a bad rap. I am VERY grateful for them! The cameras and drones are awesome! I'm sure they help solve crime in a BIG way. My thought is, if I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not worried about cameras in public places.

they don't have tolerence and compassion most times. there is plenty of videos out there. you also can't say you respect them cause it's a dangerous job...it's not like they were forced to do the job. they most likely got it to get power. and if they didnt' the corrupt cops will force you to use power over compassion. my dad was a cop this is just how it is. just like guards in the midevil times corrupt, over powered people who will say anything to make there job sound important. when most times they are ticketing old people for bogus things so they can steal there money with asset forfeiture DONT DEFUND THE POLICE REFORM! He was saved by Christ and delivered and he couldn’t wait to go back to thank that cop for being so encouraging and always telling him the right thing he said that his encouragement did give him hope to not give up enough to go back to show him he made it out. My friend is almost 20 years sober he volunteers at a rescue mission doing Bible study and he works with his local police to help with intercession with the homeless. He laughed the first time he met with the police it was first time he was sitting with 3 cops and he wasn’t in trouble now they are his friends. Going on 2 decades in AZ. Moved here as a young adult. Some of the things I've seen here are things I never expected to see. I've dealt with things I never expected to deal with. Fights with drunken taxi passengers. Have been involved in more than a couple hit and run incidents. I've had people flash guns at me on the road and had someone actually try to run me off the road one time. What takes the cake was the time I met three of the very wrong sort of people at a bar. They put a tracker on my car and followed me home. They then attempted a home invasion. 'Attempted' being the operative word. Who would have thought a bunch of tweakers would overestimate their fighting abilities, lol. I've tried all the drugs but nothing really stuck. Some people just aren't very susceptible to psychological addiction and withdrawal isn't that bad. People who can't handle opioid withdrawal simply have a low tolerance for pain. I've been dealing with chronic orthopedic pain for most of my life. Some nerve pain too. These days, the strongest thing I take is cannabis and kratom. I have to go well out of my way to get high on either and they relieve most of my pain. I'd never go back on percocet long term again unless I were terminally ill. Sounds like fentanyl straight up scared you sober, and rightfully so. Hey, whatever works. About to get even worse; nitizenes are about to blow up in the US and they make fentanyl look like codeine.

The way Peter conducts himself, goes in with an open mind, gives everyone a fair shot and doesn’t try to trip people up or make them look stupid is probably the big reason he got the access that he did. I always look forward to his videos as they seem to be an unbiased and true representation of what he’s filming

So sad these people lost in addiction. The compassion the officer has is commendable... Laws charging these people with a felony is counterproductive. Thank you Peter for another excellent unbiased and unvarnished video.

Peter always asks the right questions without being bias.. I like that. The police forces in the States have a long way to go to polish up their reputation, because all we see is videos of officers shooting or beating people. I mean you gotta respect those good officers who risk their lives while protecting society while we are sleeping at night and they deserve to not be judged on the basis of their bad co-workers.
