Hi,great video,but a question,,,my 02 envoy seems to have the air bags / both/stuck in the full up position and noticed the right side arm is broken òff,,, just like your left side. Once i install the new right side, will the system correct itself? Or do i have to somehow deflate the air bags & how? Also do you need to have the axle and body at same heights, ie. Alxe not hanging down? If the right is broken,,left ok,but should I replace it anyway. Compressor seems to run ok from the tire inflation setup in the back compartment of the envoy...Thanks 👍🏻 14:03

Which way do you move the sensor/sensors if you want to have it just a little bit lower

I got a Saab 97X when I turn the wheel it makes a popping and clicking noises and stops moving when, now when i I turn the wheel the other opposite direction the car starts moving, it drives good going straight just when you turn the wheel it make a cracking and popping in the front end it seem like it's the axles but I replaced the axles and the hubs trying to figure out if it's the four-wheel in the front have any suggestions

In order to cause the vehicle to raise on one side or the other, do you know if the vertical linkage needs to move/pivot upward or downward? My left rear side of the vehicle has been sitting lower than the passenger side. I swapped both switches a few years ago on my Envoy (both within a year of each side breaking...) but never took the time to tinker with the adjustment as each sensor replacement was an emergency repair while on the road. Also, I read through the GM adjustment procedure a while back but the use of a wood block to confirm the proper height did not make sense to me if one was simply reinstalling the sensor in the same relative position.

Tricky to put it all in words. Rotating the part down closer to the rear, will push upwards on the sensor, making the computer think more weight is on the suspension. And will raise that side. Honestly it’s a bit trial and error depending on how you want your ride and what you want it to look like. It might help to place a level in the back. Make an adjustment, sit in the back, let it air up, jump out, let it air down, maybe jostle the suspension a bit.

So if the arm breaks can I put a pin or screw back in the hole to center the arm so it can be driven until the sensor is replaced?

You tried taping it back temporarily? electrical tape might work. One air bag will hold the SUV up enough to drive it, you might hit the bump stop if you are on a rough road and it will lean to one side.

Kind of a long story but here goes. A female friend at work had her differential go bad, her air ride was fine, she had a childhood friend replace her whole rear end from a parts car now her air ride is not working. Can I replace the donor rear end sensors with the ones that were on her original rear end, even though they were not pinned when removed? Hope that makes sense and thank you.

@@jteddy11 all the parts should be compatible. What’s not working? Is it airing up at all?
@jteddy11Ай бұрын
@@CoyotefiftyF100 , yes not airing up at all, same airbags , on a different axle/rear end. I was going to take off the sensors from the dead axle that were working and replace on donor axle, first i will pin them with some wire, maybe disconnect the battery, re-connect battery and try using sensors off old axle that were working, if that makes sense.
