The Ryan Dorin Orchestra created "Ride" in 2007 as a two-part video. While Ratboy Genius had uploaded Part 2 of Ride (Fantasy), he has not uploaded the original first part. I thought the music was too good to be left unheard, and posted it to KZbin.
Both videos can be found here.

RIDE: Meditation & Fantasy is a two-part section of a larger installation-in-progress commissioned by the percussionist and my dear friend, Aaron Smith. The instrumentation and format (drum set, video, and tape) were Aaron’s idea, though the concept is still evolving. These videos only present the video and tape, leaving out the live drumming. Both movements employ mixed samples ‘captured’ from radios shows from the 1940s and 50s, a particular passion of mine. (Including This is Your FBI, Our Ms. Brooks, Dimension X, 2000 Plus). Percussion samples were made with a variety of instruments in Aaron Smith’s Los Angeles percussion studio.
"Meditation is inspired by a yoga visualization exercise involving the exponential internal visualization of cubes in space from 1 to 2 to 4 to 8 etc. to 64 cubes, and then vanishing them in sequence back again to 1. The movement presents a version of this meditation experience. Aaron is the drummer on the tape for the introduction which then leads a live 12-tone jam with the RD Orchestra.
Fantasy unhinges the synchronization between the drumming and the video/tape, relying upon the intuition of a live performance of a musical score within a music video installation environment. The video is an imaginary flight through a fantasy 3-D ray tracing environment, a surrealistic hallucinogenic visual environment in first-person perspective.
RIDE was premiered at the 2007 Look & Listen Festival in New York City."
