This Norton Dominator has just had its engine and transmission rebuilt, so it will need to ride below 3000 rpm for a while. But I am thoroughly enjoying the ride.

Is this a new bike for you? I had a 1962 Norton 650 Manxman. Great bikes.

Thank you for your comment. I imported this 650SS from the UK in 2012 and after riding it for a while, I started the restoration project in 2017. However, coronavirus pandemic, my plans were significantly delayed, and finally, this month, I was able to take it home. As you said, I think it’s a very nice motorcycle.

I keep promising myself I'll get my 650SS out for a spin, but am trying to work out what I need to do with MoT and VED. Last time I used the bike (which has lived in dehumidified constant temperature luxury) it needed an MoT, and I had to go to the post office for a £0 tax disc. Now, I understand, neither is required - but do I just insure it and drive off? I'm rather nervous that I'd forgotten something and get pulled over.

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with your country's vehicle laws, but I'm sure you can find more information by searching the internet for MOT and VED. For example, the URL below also explains MOT and VED. www.buyinganmg.com/exemptions.htm
