carlos mendes I think that is what most mom's do. 43 years ago mine busted through my bedroom door open at 11:00 p.m. & said the same thing, I had on headphones & was singing louder than I realized to the Hollies, Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress. She scared the mess out of me. I used to play Hendrix with a 50 watt ampeg & 6 x10 cabinet, we didn't have a lot of pedals back then so you had to crank the amp wide open to get feedback, she would bust through the door like SWAT without a warrant and jerk the amp electric cord out of the wall plug, always about scared me to death.

Fuck Yeah! That was a kick ass jam! The drummer kicked ass and the bass sounded tight and punchy and in perfect synch with Phil's playing. Anyone who doesn't appreciate just how good Phil X really is doesn't appreciate music. He takes his music seriously but never forgets to have a good time. And isn't that what it's really all about? Kudos to you Phil, and the band! One of your more enjoyable videos, at least IMO.

Excellent, as usual! well done all three with Faries. I'm curious about the recording signal chain for the bass. Direct? It's not the driven fretty sound Geezer used, but it's not clean either. The Neve can create that sound?
@philx11119 жыл бұрын
I believe it was direct with a plug-in or 2 blended with an Ashdiown bass amp.
@siskokidd9 жыл бұрын
philx1111 Best of both! That is an awesome bass sound, which to me appears to have been played fairly delicately for this song. God bless those old Precision basses.
