Ride Royal Blue Part 1 - first time for the Honda Talon X4!

Part 1 the crew riding Royal Blue. We rode about 150 miles over two days. We had a Honda Talon 1000 X4 Live valve, Can-am maverick Turbo R, Kawasaki Teryx 4 and Teryx 2. We saw waterfalls, caves, and Town Rock.

Never been there. They look like the trails I like running with my crew. I live In New Brunswick Canada. Myself and the crew I ride with are all new to Atving and exploring the trails here. Would love to do a trip south sometime. Keep up the good videos. We are now doing some winter riding.

Every time I go to Royal Blue, I’m reminded that it’s a wildlife management area first and a trail riding area second. It definitely isn’t groomed like HMT. Some like that, some don’t. I always say a green Royal Blue trail is like a blue (sometimes red) trail in other places. It can get pretty muddy and rutted there. I’m hosting a ride there on the weekend of June 18, 2021. It will be guided by Tony Ford, the best local guide in the area. We’ll be doing an all day ride to Brushy Mountain Prison and the train on one of the days. Love to have you guys join us if you can make it. It’s based at RRB campground.

Royal Blue is a little rougher than HMT.... But I like RB better myself..

I still enjoy it. Plenty of power, handles and rides great and room for the family. No complaints here.

@@BackyardOffroad1 We are looking at switching from a teryx 4. Did you guys have one of them before? how would you compare the cockpit heat and noise?

@@deanbarton6449 we had a green 2018 Teryx 4 that you see in one of my early videos. The heat and noise is much lower in the Talon. The ride is like night and day. The Teryx is like a old mountain goat, it can climb and go just about anywhere, but will shake your teeth out while getting there. The extra suspension travel and live valve shocks makes all the difference to me. I’m sure the can-am and Polaris 4 seaters offer the same ride quality and comfort, but at a higher cost and a much longer wheelbase.

I’m not sure if we went there. We were just starting to learn the trails. Even though the trails are rough, we cannot wait to go back.
