Well if you got the money 💰 to do it, go for it! It's all about how you want your GX 460 to run. Just remember guys you don't need an expensive suspension system to go overlanding. Dobison, ARB, and other middle range reliable suspension will do fine. I'm running the IMS Dobison suspension with no resivore at 2.5 inches of lift with Dobison front and rear bumpers. I'm running the medium heavy springs to support the weight of the bumpers and gear with 255/80/17 Open Country Toyo Tires with Method rims and Dr. KDSS, Treaty parts. Not nocking anyone else on what they want to run. It's all about you and how you want it set up. Just do your research and have fun with your build. 😊

You’re not wrong. You can overland with any vehicle you have with stock suspension. I’ve seen plenty of stock Subarus farther into trails than most people will take their 4x4’s. As far as the Ride Shocks goes. The big factor here is the main valve tune and reservoir tune is setup for each weight band or custom to your exact vehicle. Nothing on the market can be bought off the shelf with this level of tune. For me…this is huge. To some…they might not care or push the vehicle enough to notice.

Hadn’t heard of these guys until your unboxing video. Interested in hearing how they held up through the winter.

@@frikinalex I will absolutely do a follow up after this winter. They are aluminum body with a nice anodized finish so I’m confident they will hold up great! I’m also running the front shock socks and this setup comes with rear shock boots. That will also help prolong service life significantly.

Seems weird that they don’t have a first gen Tacoma option. They seem like a good option

@@trackstandking I’d call and inquire. Maybe it’s in the pipeline or could be with enough interest? I’ve been working with John over there. He’s a great guy; SUPER knowledgeable and helpful!

You could use all kinds of good adjective to describe it. What really matters is the shock dyno and spec. At least know its max length, minimal compressed length to understand its full shock travel, then help people understand what was tuned to handle your weight. Yours GX is at least 6200 lbs.

U kept original springs?
@triplelockedadventuresАй бұрын
@@galeriafuentes I kept the same rear Dobinsons springs(c59-329). Note: Ride shocks does offer multiple rear spring options as well but I already had the correct rear springs for my weight. The front shocks come pre assembled with Eibach Springs that are spec’d based on your vehicles weight band. In my case that was a 14” 700lb spring.
