the intro for 'rock with you' was sampled by kylie Minogue for 'step back in time', and cece peniston's 'we got a love thang' to name just two. it is indeed iconic :)

JD, we obviously share a love for MJ music but what I love about you specifically as a youtuber is your love for music. You really take your time breaking songs down. Your passion makes me WANT to search through Paul McCartneys catalog. You rock

Girlfriend is a good song. I like that song. It shows Michael's sensitive side, like She's Out of My Life.

I love Don’t Stop, Rock with You, Workin Day and Night, She’s out of My Life and Off The Wall. But I do feel like Get on the Floor and Burn this Disco Out are underrated. Get on the floor I do love the beginning to, especially the bass part. I heard someone do a cover of it and it’s amazing.

Agree on the intros for Rock With You and I Can’t Help It. I legit have a visceral reaction to I Can’t Help It’s opening. Like, I literally feel my pupils dilate whenever I hear it. So stunning.

My personal favourite song from the album is burn this disco out, and my favourite part of that song by far is the final set of choruses. The enhanced instrumental backing is just so pleasing to listen to.

My favourites: Don’t stop til you get enough: same part as you, the dance breakdown Rock with you: the instrumental breaks before and after the line “I wanna rock with you, I wanna grove with you” Workin’ day and night: the transition from the second bridge into the final chorus Get on the floor: outro Off the wall: same part as you, the chorus Girlfriend: the do do do part after the line “you’ll only be a girlfriend of mine” She’s out of my life: same as you, the line “damned in decision and cursed pride, I kept my love for her locked deep inside” I can’t help it: the line “brining sparkles to my eyes” It’s the falling in love: the line” you know I found myself attracted to you” Burn this disco out: the enhanced instrumental behind the final chorus

Pretty much agree with your list, I would switch off the walls chorus with the intro myself even though I love both and its actually my favorite song of all time.

1. Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough - I definitely like this one. The instrument is amazing! The one thing that confuses me, though, is the chorus. It’s a good chorus, but the lyrics are weird. It sounds nothing like the lyrics say. Instead , I hear “... Keep on, with the P*rn Stars.” Can’t unhear it. 2. Rock With You - Definitely like it! Vocals are my favorite, as they felt stronger to me. 3. Workin’ Day & Night - Not crazy about it. Favorite part is the intro. Started to lose interest 16 measures into the first verse. The Chorus redeemed it a bit, but got bored again during second verse. 4. Get On The Floor - One of my favorites RIGHT OFF THE BAT! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! My favorite is the bassline! 5. Off The Wall - It’s fun, I like it. The intro is hilarious, especially when he tries doing it live. 6. Girlfriend - I like it. It’s such a cute song. Favorite parts would be the vocals. 7. She’s Out Of My Life - I don’t know... it’s a little bit boring (I know it’s a sad song, but still...). My favorite part is the line, “And I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, and I don’t know whether to live or die”. 8. I Can’t Help It - I like it, but not sure how I though this was anymore interesting than She’s Out Of My Life. Somehow, it is. The vibes are so sensual. I guess I can say the synthesizer is very lovely. 9. It’s The Falling in Love - Not crazy about it. It’s just... there. Could care less about it. The intro is great. The first verse reminds me of “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. Haha! 10. Burn This Disco Out - Great song! The vocals are awesome! It’s super groovy! This is just my opinion.

The lyrics for DSTYGE can never sound like what you say. Not because it's silly, but it's not possible lyrically. The real lyrics are: Keep on with the force don't stop. So after 'with' it is 'the force don't stop'. So if you break down by syllable the-force-don't-stop 4 words. What you hear just can't fulfill that space i.e. make up to 4 words, so it's just not possible.

Never really understood why everyone hated It's The Falling In Love. I get Girlfriend is ass, but ITFIL is just nice. The melody is good, the vocals of Michael and Patti Austin mix so well together (initially, I didn't realise that it was a duet), and the instrumentals foreshadowed what was to come in Thriller. That Proto-Contemporary Pop sound which Michael and Quincy essentially invented on this album would become the sound and style of Pop music for decades. This was a nice beginning to that Pop sound.
@nicktendo69lmao994 жыл бұрын
I agree it’s not a bad song but I think the problem is there’s so many other great songs on the album like Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough, Rock With You, Working Day And Night, Burn This Disco Out etc that just make ITFIL feel sorta out of place being not as good as the other songs

The demo is even BETTER! MJ vocally got down, used a ton of melisma, used his deeper register, etc. The demos were also jazzier and had more punch. The demos from the Quincy sessions were amazing, but they toned it down for the albums. Made them more pop.

I really enjoy nearly all the songs from the album, except “Girlfriend” & “She’s Out of My Life”. “Girlfriend”, in my opinion, feels like a filler song to me, which is ironic considering that Paul McCartney wrote it, and I also happen to be a Beatles fan too, but it is what it is. “She’s Out of My Life”, now I don’t actually hate the song I really like it but I prefer to listen to it by itself than with the rest of the songs on the album, it feels out of place with the dance tracks if you ask me.

Hi there mate I'm guessing that you're from America also be shocked to find out that you're a big fan of Oasis I'm from the UK which obviously Oasis are from Manchester in the United Kingdom I'm also glad you are a big Michael Jackson fan like myself he is my idol obviously you keep reference and Paul McCartney that he is your number one music icon have to say hands down Michael is way better than him yesterday's songs together one or two but obviously your channel is called history in the mix which obviously has a reference to Michael Jackson Blood on the Dance Floor but anyway great video tonight about off the wall love the album myself

I'm hoping in the future that you going to do more Michael Jackson stuff where is focused on him I know there's not much new music or his at the minute I'm hoping the stupidest a can take the finger at the backside and bring out some unreleased stuff again that we haven't heard I've watched on here rankins of Michael Jackson's albums that you've done I have to save myself being a fan since 5 years old I'd have to see that Thriller and I know you won't like this but invincible I might have other albums that Michael has done obviously I love all is music but I don't think they give invincible the credit that it deserved to be honest
