As everyone in Thailand learns to ride a motorbike from 3 . I generally find most drivers are very considerate towards people on 2 wheels plus they are always used to looking out for bikes. I would recommend going to Thailand to cycle

That is a very fair analysis.

Always enjoy riding along. The warn sunshine 🌞and green vegetation looks fantastic. Google maps has sent me down some sketchy hoads on past trips. We've only had a few days of full sun since the beginning of the year, but there is no snow now. Have gotten a few cold rides in this winter.

Hopefully, the Spring will be with you soon Richard.

I do wonder if there's been a ferry service in the past or something? Open source maps are never going to be perfect but this is next level😂

ink the maps here in Thailand are particularly bad and you are right that is really next level!

Komoot, Ride With GPS, and Google Maps Bike routes must use very old outdated maps. Turn left. Lol. It can be a bit irritating when you ride for miles then have to turn around.

The issue here in Thailand is that there are very few cyclists so the Komoot ways are not extensive and as you rightly point out outdated and have poor coverage for Google Maps.
