Thanks for the comment. The Velotric Discover 2 allows the throttle max speed to be unlocked, so you can do 28mph from 20mph. The laws vary by location, and some people may want the freedom to unlock a higher throttle max speed for private/offroad use.

@@ColinLeung My understanding is that, like many e-bikes, it can be unlocked from a Class 2 e-bike to a Class 3. Class 2 is up to 20 mph on throttle or pedal assist. Class 3 is 20mph on throttle and 28 on pedal assist.
