Oh my god this woman needs to get a life. Some products are going to have issues. Replacement parts taking a few days to ship isn't unreasonable. Sorry it didn't work perfectly out of the box, but your Karen-esq response would only be justified if the company advertised that they provide instant customer service. Apple, Samsung, Trek, Sony,, Philips... all these companies have the ability to take your sales call quickly, but go through a different and more cumbersome process for service. Listen, I don't have any affiliation for Ride1up, but I do get tired of these cupcakes feeling like the world owes them an experience that they are not willing to pay for. If you want local, instant service, buy your bike from a local dealer who will carry parts. Mail order something and it's not going to be a tailored experience, especially at this price point. And if you live in the boonies where there isn't a local dealer.... well, that is the natural consequence of living there.

Idk if it’s because this video is old or what but I’ve had nothing but good customer service since I got it and I had to contact multiple times: when I broke a peg they help me find an additional one, for the headlights, centercage, I called about boost mode and few other things here and there and they always always respond and quickly. Also its an amazing bike, waaaaayy better than the other ones I had like the super73. Its hands down the best 52V bike you can get

This is a discounted bike, they have to cut costs to keep the costs of these bikes low. A bit a patience, you are the beta tester. All this stuff is new, barely tested, etc. Luckily, most of this stuff is off the shelf, so you can get replacement parts online. My Bosch system is all proprietary, and non-repairable outside of their network. Don't even get me started on the overcharging. I see in the later video it got fixed 🤔

I can't speak to your personal experience but here's mine. I replaced a tire and did not reattach the motor cable to the frame. I ended up cutting the cable with the pedal. I ordered a new one on the site and installed it. Now after this I had an accident and needed to replace the crank. I also shorted the motor out because of the earlier incident. Neither of these are warranty covered issues. However Ride1Up replaced the crank, sent me a new motor, controller and eventually display with cable. They actually walked me thru the repairs as well. Remember I purchased the motor cable. Well they reimbursed me for that cable as well without even mentioning it. Sorry your experience wasn't the same. I call all the time and get thru instantly. I even call for questions regarding 3rd party mods which they warn against (policy is assume) first then still help.

I've had very little issues with my bike so I can't speak to the customer service or the quality of your specific bike but the experience you shared isn't really that surprising to me. Maybe I have a lower expectation for Ride1up as a company but they arent Super73 and I sorta expect them to suck a bit. That said, the controller not working AFTER the wait, is pretty shitty and would turn me away as a customer for sure. On my first test ride my bike kept turning off until it wouldnt turn on, panicking, thinking I got a dud, I then realized I didn't lock the battery in place lol

Sorry to hear that you TOO have problem with them. I am one with same story on my 700 Series. Never buy Ride1up. I will recommend moving forward Aventon and their support is much much better than these folks. Please spread the message

if your display is working I doubt it's your controller as when they fail usually it's a full short out. with your battery on test it with a multimeter when fully charged it should read 52v-55v. check the battery tray cable for voltage also. if that is also good, then the likely culprit is the hub motor. there is not much to these e-bikes so troubleshooting is very easy.

What's the big rush to ride the bike, when you've been out of town? You even asked your friend to install the new controller, because you "haven't been there" to do it yourself. Your bad-mouthing and threats to the company - who's sent you "brand new" replacement parts and diligently responded to your concerns (albeit via email) - is bordering on corporate blackmail. It appears you're attempting to extort freebies out of them, in exchange for your silence

You could be right about their service. Now, thanks to you, i would make it clear to sales ,before i buy the thing,That i will immediately return it without any hesitation if I have problems like you had. Then demand my money back and or take steps to cancel the money they receive from me, as well as demand back what i have paid.

To be honest, I think that is the problem with the ebike companies. All they have is email to get back to you for troubleshooting and the process is long and you have to do most of your work yourself. I have two ebikes that I had to change out the hub motors, or change the planetary gears because they cracked. I don't think these ebikes like heavier people. The planetary gears are made out of nylon or plastic and they're good for being quiet but they don't take much of a beating if you're a heavier person. I put some metal planetary gears in but it is extremely noisy.

It's their first emoped bike that's why i waited for them to fix all the minor issues..you never buy a bike from the first batch of manufacturing that i learned..ill get this bike but at the end of the year or 2024..next time may sure you fully charged the battery..i hope your issue is not the motor which they may not want to replace like others have claimed..

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I purchased a Specialized E-Bike and have great local support :-) Oh, my e-bike cost $4,200. Wow, More money equals better support I guess. You get what you pay for.

I went with Velotric. Customer service is great. I looked at Ride1Up and their bikes are nice but I read a lot of bad reviews about the bikes and service.

Why would you let someone else install it for you instead of trying to do it yourself? I understand you were out of town but in my opinion, I would want to try and install it myself. I wouldn't trust any of my friends to fix my property.
