i use 3 server power supplyes, i paid £15 for the lot, limits maximum voltage, 30v is the maximum i need at 30amp, i have the 30 amp version

Sounds like you got a great deal. If 30 volts is all a person needs, then no reason to get a 60 volt supply. I like the 60 volts, so I can charge bigger batteries if needed. I rarely have a need for 1400 watts, but you never know right?... Thanks for your experience - much appreciated. 👍

Stuff from China don't usually work to what it says. It's supposed to do, but the reason why I figured that the breaker tripped in your converter is because It's probably not supposed to be used for a long period of time. At full capacity. It probably tripped because it was pulling too much from the 110 supply from the outlet. At least that's what I figure

And you are probably right Joe. I was thinking also after uploading the video, that with all the conversions going on - converting 110 to 220, the power supply converting 220 to DC, that it is quite possible that all of that plus the 1400 watt output was in fact 2000 watts or more. I will have to check that out, but it does sound logical that is what happened. Or it could simply have been that the breaker inside the converter was not doing it's job and breaking at 1600 watts instead of 2000 - ya never know right? :). Either way, it worked long enough to show that the power supply was doing it's job, and that is really all that matters in the end. Thanks for the comment and thoughts Joe, much appreciated. 👍
