Hello Amigos. Many of you are wondering why I am republishing the Trans America Trail series. When I rebranded the channel a few weeks ago, one of the things that needed to be done with the new channel name and look was the republishing of the previous series such as the TAT. All the videos on this series have been rebranded and in many cases they also have been improved from their original. But don't worry, brand new content will still be published next week. Thanks for watching and Ride On Amigos!

You should borrow a lighter bike and go back out there one day.... But I understand if you never ride in sand again. Definitely, Scarlett wants no parts of it.

I would love to do it on the new Tenere700. That will be a blast! 👍

Great videos. I’m enjoying the scenery & commentary. Good drone videos too. The sand always looks easier on video while I’m sitting down watching.

Interesting riding style ya guys have there with the tires sideways. Here in Michigan we ride with our tires down. LOL.. Ride On Amigos

Love the new branding and hope this fixes the SEO problems. Thank you for doing what you do. You are passionate and I know you do this for the culture (#Bikelife). I'll be rewatching the entire series to push the numbers. I want my views to be in the count.

I have the same bike as you 2010 r1200gsa. I think for a lot of the TAT they’re just too heavy. Especially with all of the gear on there. I used to have a KLR650 with a big gas tank on it. I think I would have taken that if I did the TAT. It’s so much lighter and would float a lot easier on that sand. I’ve been through talcum powder sand even worse than that on a heavy DL1000 out in the Nevada desert and let me tell you, it ain’t fun. I thought I was going to have to abandon the bike and walk out of the desert! even worse my wife was on the back. She practically did walk out of the desert while I spent hours wrestling it out of there. Adventure in retrospect I guess. 😂

Would it be better to ride in the grassy middle part in the really sandy sections?
