Rider Profile 2021: Marianne Vos

With the imminent return of The Boss, Marianne Vos, to the Cyclocross world in Val di Sole I took a little look back at why she is considered amongst the greatest cyclists to ever live and just what we should expect from a modern day Vos.

A nice summary of a great, no, the greatest cyclist of all time. One thing that could be added is her unbelievable success as a stage racer. 30 stage wins in the Giro Donne, plus another 40 top 3 finishes is just mind boggling. The last time she won the rainbow jersey in cyclocross was in the US. I hope she will repeat it Fayetteville. L

@@reggiehelton463 When people say greatest cyclist of all time they don't mean she'd beat the top men. They're talking about achievements. There's no need to state the obvious in saying how she wouldn't keep up in the men's pro peloton, they're separated for a reason. Still you can rest assured your average MAMIL who thinks they're fit would get their head kicked in by Vos doing a zone 3 interval.
