My Nivala suit has just been delivered and really pleased with it. Some great deals out there at present, especially with a couple of well known stores doing 10% price beat as well.

I just got the Nivala 2.0 jacket and trousers and I have to say is been so nice having the separate liner is amazing its was so worth the money any day of the week and the D3O is so big!!!

I've learnt about the cuff and crutch strap, thank you. The inner pocket has two compartments, one deep and one which is shallow. I like to keep my cash in the deep one :)

Congrats on getting the jacket you've been after. I am buying some new gear next year after having my Armas for donkeys years. Was split between this and the Klim kit. Think I've made my mind up. Nivala 2.0. Thanks for the video chaps!

So, you got a new jacket and Mark got a new jacket, I can't wear two so you need to have a third video in a few months time to declare a 'winning jacket'

Wukka have not made a decent jacket/suit since the Armas imho,they were made in Portugal.I've still got it and a Stadler as well.But I'd sooner layer with knox and jeans instead of being trussed like a turkey, but everyones different.
@IanTedАй бұрын
I’ve moved to layering, never going back to heavy laminated even in Winter…

Rukka suit are very expensive had mine sent back back twice the jacket leaked and trouser because the reflective strips cracked even though they were had washed !!! Uk after sales were shocking 7 weeks to get them back , and the uk distributor said that was fine in the winter it would taken even longer never buy one again 😀
@karelwalravens3249Ай бұрын
Simon, keep riding an AAA cardboard jacket if you like but be honest with yourself and compare your armour with the Rukka armour. The Rukka armour is at least double the size of other brands. I rather slide on my armour than on fabric.

@@stevehunt4776 that's precisely what I found with my Rukka jacket. After a few years it's done..at £1000+ I'd like to see a review after 5 years constant wear.

I u❤se my Nivala and or A Rukka Rimo with armour fitted and the Rukka Down x 2 all year round and have had Klim Halvarssons And many others but the Rukka is without doubt the best the collar is great as are the cuffs
@davidbirchall5124Ай бұрын
Hi Awesome jacket I'm thinking of getting.g a.Rukka jacket ,.one of.the Range , trying to decide which one..!!! As you say Chris at Motolegends videos are Great I'm definitely going to get a Rukka..!!! The only think that annoys me , is that when paying £1,500 all the pockets should be waterproof. A jacket that is so high end , is then let down by sea pockets not being.waterproof...!!!! Come on Rukka sort that out. Nivala is still a No...1 Jackwt though
@DaveBoothroyd-ej5inАй бұрын
Did you say the jacket has deep pockets - or that you have to have deep pockets to get one?

Both I think… ride safe

Rukka made its reputation decades ago, I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that they now have a factory in China and the quality has dropped, do you know anything about that? Thanks for sharing.
@markholroyd3233Ай бұрын
No idea about where they have their stuff made but a lot of stuff is made in China and we still buy it. Rukka equipment has always been exceptional wherever it’s being made IMO. Ride safe
@Andre-yu3qsАй бұрын
@@markholroyd3233 I've read a lot of people complaining about Rukka's lack of quality. And even worse, the after-sales service, which used to be excellent.

Still a very expensive bit of kit, comfy or not. There’s better at the same or lower price point.

Hey guys. Great vid to watch as always but honestly why would you pay over £1000 for a jacket that is only A rated? It’s mad. Don’t believe any verbal hype - lab testing that results in a A rating is an A rating end of story. So if you believe you’re never going to hit the ground (riding all year round) then sure go for comfort with an A protection rating. Alternatively, wear decent kit (AAA like leathers) and layer up for warmth and waterproofness. This video is a marketing play not a technical one. Sorry.
@RiderCamTVАй бұрын
Strange thing to say. We do thousand of miles a year and it has great protection just not AAA. Each to their own but saying it’s a marketing video is quite frankly insulting.

Who has crashed in one of these? Only when you have done that can you make any kind of informed comment, because, let’s be absolutely clear about this - you can be as comfortable as wearing some carpet slippers, you can be warm and dry, BUT, this is all secondary to the primary purpose of riding gear - crash protection! If the gear fails the primary role, then all the rest is gravy - you are dead or maimed. So what’s my qualification? I have Nivala jacket and matching trousers - £2100 worth. A very low speed low side at Keppel’s Gate in the wet and I slid around 30m. The jacket is a writeoff, but the worst aspect, and one that meant 5 out of the 6 riders I was with instantly reviewed their choices, was that the trousers wore through to my skin in several places. Let’s be clear here. Comfortable, warm, dry, but you might as well be wearing a cagoule when it comes to crash protection.

Prefer Halvarssons for laminated gear, in my subjective view Rukka are overpriced and I’ve owned both. Recently I’ve moved over to layered gear like Klim with Scott waterproofs, much better for multi season touring especially when it gets really warm.

The problem with traditional motorsuits is that you look like a power ranger.
@mikedignum1868Ай бұрын
It's a bit too pricey for me. I'll stick to the Halvarrson Gruen, which is half the price. However, it does have a similar design and protectors as the Rukka.
@stalbansbikerАй бұрын
I'm can assure you having got a Gruen it's nothing like as good as the Nivala for a start it's 2 layer the armour is nowhere the size of the D30 in the Rukka and also it's held in place in the Halvarssons by velcro and the velcro is glued to the armour and mins been back twice to Motolegends and now has D30 level 2 armour with the velcro sticked to it But what happens in an accident will the velcro hold ? Also tge Hal doesn't have the fantastic cuffs that only Rukka fit and the Halvarssons is not stretchable the storm collars are held on with magnets I could go on and on but the Rukka is superior in every way and has a six year warranty
@stevesteve1965.Ай бұрын
At this time of year through to March I've found nothing better than waxed cotton and I've had cheap, mid price and expensive kit..At some point all previous kit has let water in but waxed cotton has always kept me dry for years and of course it can be re-waxed.
@stalbansbikerАй бұрын
Over the 6 year warranty it's not bad value and the Down X 2 is so warm I've worn mine blood biking all year round and the GTX cuff is genius

Pockets are seems ok. Wish don't think about such things, but got Dainese D-Explorer 2 with the strangest pockets ever. But one thing I can't get in modern jackets and it's soft armour. Soft plate for protecting my back is something beyond me :(
