Riders in the Sky - live in 1981

From my collection of off-the-air recordings on VHS cassettes, "Riders in the Sky" play and sing the first two tunes of their set on the seventh show of season six on Austin City Limits in 1981. The Nashville trio consisted of "Too Slim" (Fred LaBour) on bass, "Ranger Doug" (Douglas B. Green) on guitar and "Woody Paul--King of the Cowboy Fiddlers" (Paul Chrisman) on fiddle. The two tunes are, "Ghosts Riders in the Sky" and "That's How the Yodel Was Born". I would if I could, David. What I posted is all that I recorded; and, I don't know why I didn't, because there was room left on the cassette. By the way, growing up, my family had a copy of Peggy Lee's 1949 version of "Riders in the Sky", which is where I first heard the tune. I liked the guitar accompaniment on it, which was probably played by Dave Barbour, her first husband: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqvcgXWvd6ukeNE

@@davidhurt4527 I'm sorry I didn't stick with it to the end Dave. Back then, those VHS blank cassettes were still pretty expensive; and, any music program I recorded was at the standard 2-hour speed to get the best quality audio.
