Just as a person can praise a specific preacher or say a certain church is really good, doesn't mean it's an idol unless it's all they talk about. It’s 1am I’m sitting here in awe of Gods love telling my sister in Christ how It’s a shame people don’t believe in God or have Him in their life and I’m so sad for this world because not everyone will experience this joy or peace or comfort or TRUE LOVE . The lyrics explain how some Christians don’t truly acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit. When God is speaking to them, they ignore His words. Then, at the same time they will ask for Him to show up more in their life.

How i see it is a lot of times Christians can slip into the mentality of "I just want to feel God more, I just want to experience him and be baptized in the holy spirit a fresh." This isnt necessarily bad, but when you are just constantly seeking these moments with the Holy Spirit where you just want to feel him and experience Him, it can get bad. A lot of Christians are ignoring what's already been spoken (in the bible) in that we need to share Jesus with people who don't know Him... Are biggest and most important task is to love other people around us. Some people get very hyperfixed on just going from one spiritual conference to the next to encounter more of God. But the issue is we don't really need more encounter. We need to do what he's said. It really boils down to the 'why' behind your life. I am alive so I can be an encounter of God to people around me. God doesn't want to just lavish us in his love, he wants us to become love in action. Bottom line, we are on a mission and need to go give the world Jesus and not just sit around in church having encounters with him all day when people around us are dying without knowing Jesus.
