Hi mate, can you tell me do you have your reel set tight or do you have it so it can run, sorry to ask but i have recently retired live in Botany Bay Area and would love some tips on how to catch a jewfish thanks Greg
@johnhoward99710 ай бұрын
When your fishing near structure, i would tighten to a point where it would be very hard for them to pull alot of drag. And back myself with a solid line and reel rod combo. When your not near any structure, alow for the fish to pull drag but have the drag set to a point where the hooks will penetrate the fish. Not to loose and not to tight. Again with a rod reel combo to suit.

The airport runways have produced some monsters in botany. Also the oil rig near kurnell. Alot of smaller jew inside the georges river. Big sharp hooks,minimum 50lb leader and fresh bait do the job.
