Your description of India is spot on. I once spent 2 months traveling around India by train. It is sensory overload and unlike any other place on earth. I completely agree that everyone should visit at least once. It will open your eyes to a different world and give you some perspective about your own life. Health is wealth indeed. My mother always said "when you have your health, you have everything."

Hey mate, I have been watching your videos for long. I wish you all the best. Thinking is fine but don't OVERTHINK. The problem is not just in west but also across the world. I being an Indian having lived in various parts of the world still am shocked how some people can be happy with so little (not just in India, but have seen similar stuff in Africa and South east Asia). We should learn something from them and as Saleem said, if you loose health (mind and body) you loose everything. Take care buddy.

Less is more. When , I was kid ,I always yearned for a Canon camera. I did not have the courage to ask my dad to buy one. When, I grew up ,I earned and bought all those cameras of Sony, Canon , Nikon. With 4 cameras in my bag,I hardly have time to use it. Wish ,I had money as a kid. This sounds paradoxical but life is like that. Better enjoy the tit bits of life and be happy. Money is something but not everything.

Glad to see you back in India. You know, your visit to Pushkar last year created something wonderful for me, namely you clued me in to the Fior di Loto Foundation there. I sponsored a little girl to attend school, and at the end of the school year a few months ago, as promised, I received an updated photo, a copy of the girl's report card, and a little drawing she made for me (she's about 5, I think). I can't tell you how touched I was to receive a personal letter, covered with Indian postage stamps, here in California. I am sponsoring her again this year. Thank you so much for pointing me (and maybe others) to this organization!

I was born and raised in Mozambique and lived with different cultures , specially Indian ,but India in it's essence I was not prepared for that reality! I was there for a dental treatment and visiting some friends...it was one of the experiences of my life, since I was a Stewardess and traveling the world. Move on, Gabi, you're not alone. Live in the present, not in the past,( depression) neither in the future that as not yet come, ( anxiety).

A place like Delhi surely makes people think about their life and problems. It makes people think that there are so many hardworking lifes here and everyone has their own purpose, problems, fears, and love, but still everyone fulfills their duty with a big smile on their faces and it makes our own problems and stress seem like worthless and teaches us to look to life with a new found positive perspective

Great to see you back in India Gabi. Life lessons from Salim in a nutshell. Most Indians look at life philosophically, it is transient, enjoy the chaos.

Hi Gabi 👋🏻 So happy to see you back, I can see things with you are still not great, better perhaps but not great. I've been to India and I must say I admire your strength to go somewhere quite so chaotic to get out of your mind, however it'll definitely do that for you! 😊 Another fantastic video with great words of advice from Saleem. Health is most definitely wealth. Take care Gabi, continue your journey to happier places mentally and worldly and I'm sure we'll look forward to coming with you via your videos ❤❤

People like Salim are the kind of countrymen India needs today-those who not only take pride in being Indian but also take full responsibility for it. Though he claims he isn’t literate, his manners and the wisdom he shared with a stranger reveal a deep understanding and grace. It's heartening to know we still have people like him in India. Salim speaks of preferring tea with less sugar, in contrast to other rickshaw drivers who often spend their earnings on alcohol. I wish the best for him and his family. He has truly earned respect. ❤

Hi Gabi ! Many thanks for your videos about India . I went in many of these places and will go again to meet again my indian friends and to feel this special atmosphere. You're right : it's a great country. I hope you feel better and happy now (I never truly met you, but you also seem to be a good guy ;)) Thank you again.

I visited India exactly a year ago, spent 4 days in Delhi, it's a great city, so vibrant and full of colors and smells. I was on a business trip so I didnt have much time to explore but I could feel the people' spirit there. It is amazing how Indian people live in peace even though they have so little. Akshardham in Delhi is so inspiring and beautiful, pity it is not allowed to film there. Love India!

Hey gabi, i am a bit late but i am going through your uploads. I agree that India is chaotic but also full of life (literally). I agree with salim's take on overthinking, sometime sensitivity is a curse. hope you're feeling better.

My reason for traveling are exactly yours, engage with the world to clear your head. I'm crossing India alone starting November 4th for 40 days. I'll visit Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Mumbay, Kochi, Varanasi and Kolkatta. I'm also wheelchairbound and disabled from the chest down. There deeper I get into organising my trip the more I realize it's going to be tough, but amazing. I got the idea after watching one of your videos!! wish me luck!! great video, hope all is well

As an Indian, I will not suggest you to travel to Kolkata, there is nothing to see there except one Bridge...that is just a city.. instead you can travel to Leh or Rishikesh or if you want to travel in Eastern India you can go to Darjeeling or Sikkim..

I travelled India nearly 50yrs ago as a young "hippie" escaping from my depression also and looking for Enlightenment, ha ha. It's great to see the chaos and intensity still is almost the same. 1975 was probably the best yr of my life. Your rickshaw driiver is right, thought is the root cause of suffering.Thinking creates the illusory thinker, the me. You are not that. With meditation you can observe the thoughts. perhaps it is wiser to turn your attention back toward the observer and ask who or what is observing the thoughts. Turn the attention back around 180 to the awareness that never sleeps. Sorry,i am starting to prattle on. All the best to you from down under.
