Pls understand, if you aren't rich or wealthy, then don't scoff at those who honestly toiled for their wealth and are just enjoying their dues. It's not a crime to own these SUVs. Be happy within your means and let others be happy within their means. Life is short just to be spent being envious. No SUV is perfect, but some SUVs are better, regardless of cost. So be happy. Land Cruiser or Land Rover, or Jimny. Enjoy your drive and let them enjoy their drive.

I prefer the global grill, but understand they wanted to tie it to the last Prado, with 40% tariff, it's expensive for what you get, but it is VIP in the Philippines at a manageable size compared to say LC300 or Patrol. I personally would have a hard time buying it over a similar priced Patrol.

Torque is reduced for offroading to avoid sudden wheel spin. You only need torque if you need to tow or do it for cargo usage. Just like the FJ, but the downside it has only a 4 cylinder.

Like what you have said, if you are going to setup this LC250 that you are going to change the wheels to bronze..well yung nasa MOTUL Manila Auto Salon & Truck Show sa SMX ngayon, ay may naka display na black LC250 with bronze wheels. At tama ka sir, ang ganda nga ng combination sa black color ng sasakyan!😊

Agree. Same din yata na yung 2.8L diesel sa mga offerings ng Toyota diesel SUVs dito sa atin. Tsaka yung UK version at Dubai versions ang perfect, kasi bukod sa diesel ay 7 seats na din yung versions nila kahit hindi pa MHEV. Tapos may ibang color trim choices pa, at sa UK namn ang may '58 version.

The full hybrid gasoline powertrain would lower the tariff price, the only issue is it would remove the third row and make it a 5-seater only. The diesel 2.8L available in other markets is only a mild-hybrid, no tariff support.

@@TackKeyNack Are you talking about the mild hybrid or the full hybrid. The 2025 AU version I don't think has launched yet, it will have a 2.8L mild hybrid , not the 2.4L gas full hybrid FORCE Max system in the US. The battery is too big to allow a 3rd row plus only has a 68 kilo weight limit above it. Mild-hybrids don't get any tariff discounts in the PH, but it could be an interesting package for those that want a diesel option.

Hindi po kaya naka eco mode sila? May sport and sport+ po kasi. Fortuner 2018 ko pa lang po 150hp laking difference ng eco sa power mode. Parang sedan ang acceleration. Alam ko po pati tigas ng suspension affected sa drive modes. Wala naman po ako pambili pero sana na test po yung drive modes. 😅 baka kasi naka eco mode lang rin kayo buong test. Alam ko po sa ibang cars pati aircon affected sa eco mode

Since walang mention na ginamit nya drive modes, assume na naka normal mode yan kasi usually naman if magttest drive ka di mo naman ilalagay sa eco mode yan while testing. Expected na yan sa makina nya vs sa bigat ng lc prado. Di mo din macocompare fortuner kasi diesel siya so ramdam mo yung torque nya at low speed tska iba din tunning.

I red somewhere, Land Cruiser is the preferred car for the smartest people, such as engineers, those who work in mining/drilling etc. (ring a bell?) You missed the main selling point of this car which is it's 4x4 System. This is not made and bought for cruising around city blocks, it is made for trips that requires a type of vehicle that you will be assured that it can take you back alive..

I don't know if that's true. We were offered a black unit to buy when buying our Fortuner GRS last month. It was available on the spot to pay with cash, which was surprising on a newly released model with a waiting list. But, we do have history with our local Toyota dealership and agent.
