Would this ridge vent roll be suitable for an old style roof with a ridgeboard. If so would there be any difference in installing

Theoretically, you should be able to install a ridge roll on an old roof, but you would be best consulting a roofer first

@@nbpltd ye I just had a new roof noticed something was wrong from the start I couldn't see any gap at all in the felt. They said they cut a 5mm slot. But I looked at the Marley plans they are for a truss roof with no ridgeboard. Our ridgeboard is 20mm thick so it's wider than the gap they cut. Obviously they should if cut either side of the ridgeboard or no air can get out but I'm 2 months after I told them what was wrong now I've got a serious amount of condensation and all my rafters are mouldy. Rot will happen. And they did the same to 100s of roofs in my street.

In the real world it won't last a year why dont you use flash band primer
