I used my Ridgemonkey last night for the first time, and anyone who has one, or is thinking of getting one, should invest in the Ridgemonkey Square Plate & Cutlery. Absolutely love having the full set, as it’s so much easier to pour the food from a square cooking system onto a square plate. I’ve also got the 15lts Jerry can. Also excellent!

We've used the Ridgemonkey a lot since uploading this video and I can tell you it's still performing as if it was new, the non stick coating is still brilliant and easy to clean, we keep a few sheets of kitchen paper tucked in the bag so before the oils and fats cool and solidify we can give it a quick wipe, dead easy! Hi Tim, the regular version weighs in at 725g / 25oz and the XL version is 997g / 35oz. So if you ever get tired of eating dehydrated or other packaged meals then it's a great bit of kit. Never had creme cheese on a burger before, it sounds tasty! Thanks for watching mate Atb Daz & Andy 😁👍🏻🏕

@@bewleybrothers OK, this is a recipe from Utuber Cameron McNeish Outdoors and really couldn’t be easier! Plus many great recipes can be found on Utube channel Ridgemonkey: one packet of Jus Roll ready rolled shortcrust pastry, one tin steak, one tin potatoes. Unroll pastry in one piece and use half to cover the bottom of the pan, leaving the other half to fold over the filling. Drain & chop potatoes, mix with steak, pour into pan. Tuck edges over. Fold rest of pastry over the filling, tuck sides in to seal. On a low/medium heat, keep turning every few mins for about 20 mins until nicely browned on each side. Serve with baked beans, which you can heat up in the top pan while your pie stays hot in the bottom one, save washing up. You can tart it up to your own taste with a few mushrooms, onion, tomatoes, chilli, garlic, whatever!

I just bought a compact ridge monkey and it looks okay. But my handle ain’t detachable and I can’t split the monkey into two pans. I feel quite annoyed now after seeing yours.

I ordered the one you have initially but luckily I knew someone who wanted to buy it off me, way better being able to split it into two pans, detachable handles are handy for cooking on a fire because you can clip them off so they don't melt. Thanks for watching. Atb Daz & Andy 👍🏼😁🏕

I have the compact xl all I will say is the buttons on the handles of mine have both popped out and been lost making it now dangerous to use. I have been in touch with ridge monkey about buying new handles and basically been fobbed off. Bad customer service tbh so if you do buy one careful.
