I'm getting a little more than 10 minutes with mine. Regardless, who has only one battery? I have four 5amp batteries which can, with two chargers (plugged into a small inverter hooked to my truck's battery when away from the shop) and a short break occasionally, keep me going almost indefinitely. As a result, I love this little guy, along with the cordless random orbit sander and cordless router.

Wish they would have added the dual power capability like they did in their lights. There going to be times when you need to sand down multiple items ten min won't do

#FIFTYTHREEER to make it simple, a corded transformer that plugs in where the battery goes and makes all 18 volt cordless tools corded.

I Like everything about this belt sander brushless motor & the power it has is Great! Like you said right up there in power with corded. but the run time is a bit short with 9min to 13min isint much but if you have a few Batterys you should be fine as long as the tool doesn't over heat too much. I'd love to try it out! #WorkshopAddict

Man, I think in many situations where one of these would be useful, ten minutes would be too little. I've got a specific job I need to do that's in the middle of the woods but if I had to choose between spending $149 on the tool+$100 or more on batteries, I'd rather just lug the generator and old reliable belt sander out there.

If you are already part of the Ridgid family of tools, you wouldn't need to buy the batteries.

ridiculous battery time. Not impressed by tool makers coming out with battery tools with this type of drawback.
