This is a detailed build of Hawaii detailing extractor build. I made a few adjustments that I think will do a slightly better job.
Also explaining as to why building your own extractor may be a better option for you. Aswell as explaining basic concept of extractors, so you can build and use other parts and attachments you’d like! Please follow me on TikTok too @infiniteautodetailing #autodetailing #detailing #extractor #ridgid #tools #fyp #foryoupage #carcare #build
All my socials and parts list for the ridgid ShopVac build UPDATED!!!
Certain parts are gone from the Amazon store so I updated the list :

For matts I usually just use a pressure washer to rinse off after APC and scrubbing. Easier to me and I can still use vac to pull moisture out as much as possible. The dirty water runs off on the ground instead of me sucking a bunch up in my Rigid. Just a thought.

Yeah I only demonstrated on a mat, but the build is for interior cars and seats. For ppl who use extractors for shampooing interiors not just mats

So I actually made the same set up! Good stuff. I just bought a generator too. Only thing left to go fully mobile is a water tank. But it makes me wonder if I can still use this diy set up with a water tank instead the house water.

Yes you actually can. And that’s why this build is great. From your water tank, you got a adapter that you can screw in a water hose to your pressure washer right? Get the one that had the knob lever that can shut it off. Or you can get the double spigot thing with levers that way your pressure washer always connected and you can shut one side off and use for extractor on the other.

@@InfiniteDetailing101 i wonder if I need a pump or anything. Or do you think just with gravity it would have enough pressure ?
@InfiniteDetailing101
@InfiniteDetailing101 Жыл бұрын
@@LewTh3Jew gravity can be enough, but it’s a hassle and what if you’re up hill. And even then, some will deny this, but it starves the pressure washer a bit. Gravity isn’t as strong water feed as a pump can. So over time, your PW pump can go out due to starving. I would definately get a pump bc it’s just worth it brother. Also make sure the pump output is enough for your pressure washer gpm.

@@LewTh3Jewyou can also hook it up to a keg or some other pressurized container.

Yeah that works. Not so much when you’re mobile detailing though and don’t have a tank yet

I wouldnt personally use zip ties, if that hose rubs up against anything its gonna get scratched. They make velcro wraps you can buy that the expensive extractors use.

You can do a cheaper head I just showed the basic concept of making one. The only thing you need to change is the adaptor to the other extractor head you want to use and change the fittings to the water line according to which ever head you’re using. You can see the specks usually of the heads before you purchase so you know

Ripclean is cheaper. I watch Hawaiian detail custom extractor and I did the math. Came out more expensive than rip clean. I just got mine a few weeks ago.
@InfiniteDetailing101
@InfiniteDetailing101 9 ай бұрын
@@TheOfficialOV yeah it’s actually the same. I actually built it. It’s better quality and lasts longer. And if something breaks, easy replacement bc I know what parts I bought. Rip clean you gotta wait 2-3 weeks to get a replacement line or hose. But to each their own.
@InfiniteDetailing101
@InfiniteDetailing101 9 ай бұрын
@@TheOfficialOV so if I was to replicate and build exactly the same as ripclean, it would be cheaper than this one or hawaiin. Their head they claim is their own, but you can see the exact same head on amazon for 15-20$. But again, not everyone wants to build, they just want one ready. But it’s definitely not better.

@@InfiniteDetailing101 unfortunately people are lazy and they would rather wait for an inferior product than spend 10 minutes actually doing something
