Let’s just take a moment to appreciate that when they were asked to make a Body for this guitar, they either thought it would probably be Balls to the wall, Ass out and in their minds cool. There's a guy playing a violin/guitar hybrid in John Wick 2, similar to this one. I think that one had the radius similar to a cello to allow it to be played with the bow. I always found it really cool

Mostly aluminium and carbon fiber. But yeah they are a fresh breath in today's market where 90% of the companies just make strat and lp copies. I really like their concept

My issue with that Spooderman Les Paul...why is the graphic SCREWED on to the body? Other than the inlay (which is admittedly pretty cool) It doesn't scream "CUSTOM SHOP" to me. Screams cheap fake.. I mean, clearly it has all the COA and case candy, but it's just...tacky looking to me.

My alarms went off on the violin guitar at 8:01 when I saw the two different (but similar looking) guitars pictured. One has white pickup surrounds and wide Gibson style fretboard inlays and another picture shows all black pickups and dot fret inlays. Which one is being sold, LOL? Love these vids Fluff!

It appears that the Spider-Man graphic is not painted on. It looks like an oversized pickguard that covers the entire front of the body with screws all around the edges. It would be a lot cooler if the custom shop had actually painted the image onto the body. Even though it is signed by Stan Lee, the price seems a bit ridiculous for a pickguard graphic.

Javara actually does some really good wood looking guitars. Good quality luthier work by the looks

Looks just like the work of M'Oonyx Wahyudi. He's an Indonesian builder who builds guitars that are almost, if not completely, identical. He also does some RIDICULOUS hand-carving on these and more "conventional" solidbodies. Definitely worth a look.

Ethereals brand new sit around 4k - 5k range, but the earlier models were known for a wide range of quality inspection issues. These guitars were known for a buyer beware because some of these issues majorly effected the guitar.

Stan Lee's autograph is worth about $1000 just by itself. Comics that were graded and sold *before* Stan signed them, and then sold again after Stan signed them, indicates his signature can add up to $1500 of value to an appraised, CGC certified piece. Let's be generous, and say that the Spider-Man Les Paul is worth $7k. There was another Custom Shop Spider-Man Les Paul released when they made the first Spider-Man films in the 2000s. It has a graphic of Spider-Man from the film or movie poster. That made headlines because it was being sold for $6,000 at the time, but a simple search on Reverb suggests that the same model has sold for under $2k in the past. I have seen that one listed for as much as $14,486.23 CAD, and as little as $1,377.81 CAD. Proof that Gibson sellers are gas huffing lunatics who just make the numbers up as they go.

Yeah but he signed only 75 of these and who knows how many were dinged up, played a bunch and worn down, owner lost the COA. It’s not like a comic or photo which could get crinkled easily and ruined. It’s a Gibson custom shop guitar and Stan is dead now. So it will only go up in value.
