Gattling Gull does get Battlestandard Buff. Any companion that gets bullet modifiers (which is pretty much any of them that fire projectiles) also gets the battle standard buff. The buff is done during the post process code that runs via CompanionController.Inilialize. If Gattling Gull gets your bullet modifiers that means it has a CompanionController component and thus will get the Battle Standard buff. ;)
