I admire your courage for dropping it the way you want. Did you end up unloading the preload a bit? I'm waiting for my RSV4 lowering link. Your R1 is sitting badass.

Appreciate it my friend. I stiffened up the load a bit but going 2 inches really didn't make a difference in my opinion on feel. Ever since lowering it, I feel so much more confident riding since I am able to actually touch the ground almost 75% flat footed. I don't drag knees, so lowering it was a concern for me. I still get around the corners pretty good still. The prob I have is that the lower reservoir on the shock bottoms out on the swingarm sometimes, and my license plate has been through hell and back. My next mod is an extended swingarm actually. I may go another 0.25" lower in the front after swingarm installation. I don't think you will be disappointed one bit after lowering.

Just curious are you still running the eBay exhaust? How’s it running for you after this time do you have a ecu flash on it? Asking because I just picked up at 2024 r1 and looking into the eBay exhaust myself

Yes, still running the eBay exhaust. No ECU flash yet. Runs good imo, maybe a little rich (gassy). The tip of the can turned from black to a goldish color. Other than that, doing just fine for the price.

I think my wife is either 5'3" or 5'4" ish. I'll see about doing a Shorts vid with her on it this weekend so you and everyone else can see what it would be like if you happen to be shorter than I am. Worst case scenario, you have to use 1 leg to hold the bike up each time you stop...and of course the short jokes, which I still get.

@@CrossplaneNation haha yeah I'm used to the short jokes, I'm still 17 tho until june so hopefully I still have some growing to go. I do live in the uk tho so I have to start on a 125cc and I am absolutely dreading dealing with the 125 power. Starting in september or around that time once i get enough money, probably gonna go for either a cbr125 or an r125

@Sk-Esskay sounds like a good start. Def start small and work yourself up. You will get there in no time as you get that rider experience.

I understand with the height im 6'1 and i just flat foot it but not very comfortable on a stock 2024 R1

It definitely changed the rake on the bake as well. I feel more comfortable not being fully raked over after the drop tbh. Much more fun to ride no imo as well, even tho the bumps are brutal at times.
