Outstanding review mate. Loved the humour you inject into your videos, that's for sure. Front setup is called Tele-lever suspension and the rear is called Para-lever. Works a bloody treat as it prevents front dive when braking heavily. Beautiful bike in either the GS variant or the big GS Adventure model. Both bikes are incredible long range tourers. 23:48 that "extra suspension" is actually the real suspension, inside the fork there is only oil. That's why the GS has softer suspensions than other bikes, it's a technology that BMW uses on this bike for 13 years now

Vague front shock feel comes from tele lever front suspension. Not from shock. It takes to experienced rider around 2000-3000km to get used to it in off-road conditions. Skill acquired on conventional front suspension must be unlearned while on GS. It is not the same thing and feel. Once you figure out how it reacts and works in tandem with rear para lever all this vagueness you are talking about disappears. You cannot judge GS or GSA suspension trying it out off road for an hour, coming from conventional bike. It takes same learning and adjusting.
