Love Back of the Dragon. Ever make it up to Dingess Tunnel in Tugg Valley? WV roads are in great shape. And of course Burkes Garden east of Tazwell. Does your brother have a planned route? Or is he just free wheeling it? Was Mingo Lodge in the town of Mingo? You were close to Cass WV and the Cass Scenic Railroad. Great place to learn about logging in WV and ride a historic Shay locomotive.

I've never been to Dingess Tunnel but my brother has, he says it was awesome. And yeah he was mostly freewheeling it with a general idea of a direction in mind! 😂

It was one of my top ten days of riding motorcycle I've ever had in my life. I wish I'd been filming in the morning because WV 250 on the way to Monterey was actually BETTER than anything I filmed in this vid. It was literally stunning, I plan to go back down this summer to Road Spotlight it.

I actually have a project in Virginia about an hour away from the Mingo Saloon. We want to take a ride out there, hoping this year, but we are getting booked up.

No kidding? Mingo is a cool place, plus it sits in a tremendous location for riders as great roads to ride are all around it down there.

The WV 250 is a very demanding road, it runs about 100 miles of mountain road from Huttonsville WV down to Staunton VA, well worth the ride, I did it about the same time you did.. the 250 north of where you started is even more twisty.Rt 33 is also amazing.

I don't think it's so much that the X2's mic is bad... but anything over 10 or 15mph and most camera mics are useless, unless they're protected from the wind. Great video, lots of cool scenery over that way!

I should try putting foam over the One X2 mics to see if I can improve it any. 🤔

@@MotoMengy It might - but being out in the wind like that, there's not much you can do to help it. Heck, my Hero 10 on my handlebars only gets slightly better audio, and it's behind a windshield!

I rode some of WV last May, including through the Seneca Rocks area. That WV33 is a great road, especially near the WV/VA border. I want to get back to WV again soon. How’s the wing treating you? Any thoughts of a replacement yet? Any nightmare mechanical issues?

The Wing has been incredible so far. No issues yet, only maintenance has been brakes, tires, oil changes. Absolutely no thoughts of trading it in yet, I love riding this bike too dang much! I could see myself riding this Wing for another ten years easily, maybe up until the next Goldwing comes out? 🤔

@@MotoMengy Glad to hear it. I was at the local BMW Demo Days today to ride the 1250 RT and the K1600 Grand America. I was not at all impressed by the GA - the RT however was awesome. Next stop, back to Honda to ride the Tour DCT again.
