Best video yet! I loved the beginning. And Steve doing wheelies on the narrow. Dude you are nuts! Of course I day that and I am working on relearning the art of the wheelie.
@TheMoreWeExplore6 жыл бұрын
Do it! Wheelies are SOOOOO much fun, and even though they don't seem very practical, they sure help balance skills on switchbacks, climbs, etc. Ryan Leech has a great wheelie course. Shameless plug, but if you use couponcode: dustybetty, you'll get $20 off (or a free month, whichever you prefer).

Was awesome to relive this day through your perspective. It was truly one of the best days I’ve had in a long time and will be that way in my memories for years to come. Not only does an awesome trail make for an epic day, but the people you spend it with. Thanks so much for inviting me.

massive step up in production! Nicely done!
@TheMoreWeExplore6 жыл бұрын
It's fun to make a nice video every now and then. It adds a TON of time and work, but the end result is something we're really proud of. It took 4 cameras and about 3 hours of extra filming for this one. If we did this level of production on every video, we'd only be able to release one every 3 weeks. So we typically do more of a "good enough" edit. It's sure fun to do a good one every now and then though!

Stepping up the edit/filming game... dig it!
@TheMoreWeExplore6 жыл бұрын
It's fun to do a quality edit now and then. In the grand scheme of things, it adds about 3 hours to the day, and interrupts the ride a lot, and it doesn't affect # of views or subscribers, but it's still fun to do from time to time. We could release one killer edit every 3 weeks, or we could release a weekly edit that's pretty good. We choose the latter, since it pays off better, and allows us to share more of our story. It'd be fun if we could afford to do this full-time, then we could do both!
@BigVanLittleAdventures6 жыл бұрын
The More We Explore yeah that supporting footage is so fun to do too... but you take this clip you put so much in too and chop it into a 3 second clip. Haha I can appreciate it... it's good stuff.

Random Q, is it better/easier doing the travel trailer thing or would you prefer a really outfitted van?
@TheMoreWeExplore6 жыл бұрын
There's no universal "better" that will suit everyone. For us, the travel trailer setup is the best way to go for full-time life on the road. We'd rather have a travel trailer than a van (and we had both). If we didn't have to work 8 hours a day, and we were just travelling for short stints, a van would be the way to go. There main hassle with a trailer is finding a place to park/store it when we go riding. With a van, you can leave it at the parking lot while you ride. That being said, for long-term life on the road, I can't do a van. There just isn't enough room to relax and there's so little storage room. Since I have a regular, full-time job, I need to be at a desk for 8-10 hours a day. 8-10 hours of work in a van gets old fast day-in and day-out. Some people love motorhomes, some people love airbnb. Someone once did a study and found that it was cheaper to live in air bnbs than living in a trailer. We love our setup, but it isn't for everyone.

Hi, is there something wrong with the lens on Steve's GoPro? This is the second time I've noticed slight distortion in the middle

Dusty Betty you're doing great. Enjoy every moment.

Nobody's more frustrated with the blur than me. :( Upon further investigation, it looks like I scratched the lens on my stem. These gimbals stick out a bit, and sometimes they conttact the stem on a short rider like me. It looks like I scratched my lens. :( It took 4 cameras to shoot this video. 4 had charged batteries, 4 had the right settings, and sadly only 3 had clear lenses. Sounds like it's time for a new lens or a new camera. :(
