Pat, ive always really liked shercos and getting a bit fed up with the unreliability of my gas gas, i live and ride in the uk but have been told by people shercos are not very good bikes to ride in the wet as apparently they do not grip as well as other bikes? Is this true or just a load of rubbish? Thanks

Doo Rag I have never heard of that being an issue compared to other brands. Interesting. I think mud riding is all about the rider and technique. Doesn't matter which bike if your technique is wrong. Even the 300 two strokes are so smooth there is no advantage to a 4 stroke if you know what you are doing. We had a very muddy National this year and my bike was awesome. New clutches are so good you can slip them as much as needed even with high rpms. Can't go wrong with a Sherco or Scorpa in my opinion! It may be more about the importer/dealers around you and what brand they are pushing the most. That usually rubs off onto local riders opinions as well.

Pat Smage thanks a lot, my dad's had an 05 and an 09 sherco 290 and I always liked riding them, I rode gas gas when I was young but had a beta evo for a couple of years and liked it but always preferred the feel of the gas gas, my 2017 280 has been nothing but problems so looking at other bikes

Anonymous Finn I am not at their level and I have moved on from wanting to ride the worlds. That was my goal a long time ago and I tried for a few years but I just never enjoyed being in Europe enough to see myself living there. Now they are too far above my level and it's too late to catch up. I am enjoying riding in the states and watching them in awe of their skills! Hopefully I can help the next American that wants to give it a shot over there. 👍
