Korky7775 have you watched the one of me where I spent a freezing night in the Highlands?? I was extremely angry and just wanted away from all humans on the planet so took an old 1980s tent and headed up to the freezing summit of the Cairngorms. You're a brave man! Stay safe out there! How does your Royal Enfield hold up to road salt? As a commuting machine I presume you're not washing it every ride! I find winter salt really hits mine, despite ACF50.

May I ask why you are not going by car? Is it a voluntary decision or a financial one or otherwise?

Hanna, I love extremes and adventure. Going by bike makes for amazing adventure and also takes a lot of skill. I virtually ride my bikes everyday of my life in all weathers. In 2014 I rode a bike across freezing Russia in -40 Celsius. It was a mighty challenge and I almost lost my life but hey I look back and loved it. I just love adventure and a good challenge. By car its just not the same and also a car would not get to the places I go in the snow for my photos ;-)
