This is one of my favorite riding clips. Cruising into a lightning storm on a naked bike, on the open road in the high plains, at dusk. It just doesn't get any better! You and Vassili must have made quite an impression on the two young maidens in the pick em up truck for them to have went out of their way to assist you the way that they did. But that, is yet, another adventure story.

Right Motos No, thanks to you for sharing these videos!! do you think a sportster would be a good starting bike for me? Im a short guy 5.4ft. @RightThingMotos9 жыл бұрын
Aaron Rodriguez I think a sporty would be a great choice. You should be able to have both feet planted on the ground with no problem and the bike isn't crazy heavy. I had somebody knock her over once and I picked it up by myself without any difficulty. If you have the chance to get one, I highly recommend it. The one drawback is that the top speed barely breaks 100 mph.

Hi, did it feel when those large trucks were passing you coming form the opposite direction ? I have just started riding iron, and I feel a little thrown off balance by the gust of wind every time a big truck or bus comes form the opposite direction. Then again it may be because I need to improve as a rider.

Samir Mishra Hey Samir, I certainly feel a big gust of wind whenever a big truck passes by me in the opposite direction. I'll feel a wind change as well whenever I pass a big truck or when a big truck passes me. Feeling a little off balance is normal, you just have to remember that the bike wants to go straight. Josh Lanzer That song would sound great in the background of the video! Actually, I purposefully leave songs out because it gives the viewer a chance to listen to their own tunes without having to mute the video and losing the sound of the engine. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, we were shocked to find zero hotel rooms available on a random Tuesday night. Roads out there are beautiful though. I could ride all day. What do you do out there?

I'm an owner of 2016 iron 883. It was raining when I puchased and the dealer advised against riding in the rain. what precautions to do take?

How do you like it so far? And is there no ignition socket for the key? U can just have the key in your pocket?
@SonOfHutch8 жыл бұрын
+Thomas Sava ...they do have keyless fob ignitions or like mine requires a key. They have security systems also..not on mine. excellent ride, very impressed and worth every dollar. it's got alot of balls for a small bike.

1 week old 2016 883 Iron and already had to lay it down to avoid a fuck head who stopped in middle on intersection. Pissed beyond reason! Watch out for the idiots.

+Xander Salamander I'm currently 16 and obsessed with motorcycles. I don't think I'm gonna get one until I'm 18. I've watched countless crash videos and safety videos this far; however, any skills and lessons will probably come with experience. The 883 is honesty my dream bike. If the timing is right, I would be grateful to buy it one day. I've only ridden my friends dirt bike twice, maybe I should invest in a smaller bike and get this as a second.

+Xander Salamander Hey Xander, thanks for watching! When I can, I try to avoid the rain simply because I don't find it that enjoyable. If I see rain in the forecast, I'll leave the bike parked and take the train to work. If I have to ride out into the rain for whatever reason, I always take it waaaay easier on the throttle because it leads to spinning out. You have to be delicate with the brakes as well because braking hard will inevitably lead you into losing control of the bike. Also, I think it's important to take the corners at low speeds with less lean because the traction is a lot shittier. When riding in the rain, waterproof gear is also important just because it makes the experience more comfortable. I have a waterproof jacket just in case I ever get caught in a storm like this one.

Amazing bike, I got mine at $9,200 before any insurance was added in or extra coverage. Since I hit 500 miles I can finally go past 70mph and 4000rpm cause the engines broke in, and with the torque band being at around 3,500 rpm I can really use it to its full potential. Light weight, gets blown around a bit at high speeds, less than a street bike would, but all in all, great looking bike and fun to ride. I'd recommend the 883, the 48, or night rod to anyone that likes sporty harleys.
